  4. I know what you mean, I usually invite parents to attend all practices and games with there kid along with helping the other children. I usually explain that it takes a minimum of 25 hrs before you are qualified to form an acurate assesment of the team and its limitations. That usually stops the complaining. I have had a few that continue to complain and I usually hand them an application for head coach, that works too.

  9. Ok folks after doing this job for 7 years I thought I was ready to do a little work in my own home, we had a wall between the kitchen and dining room that had to go. It was a bearing wall so It had to be taken and replaced with an LVL beam. here is the first pic of what we had to remove. this next pic is what the sink wall looked like, perfect example of what they did in 1972. Yep this is the view from the living room, this wall MUST GO !!!! Time to rip things up, I love breaking out the tools and tearing things up. this was day one, this project took exactly 3 weeks from start to finish. this is what Jill saw when she got home Monday evening, needless to say she was glad the wall was gone but hated the mess. LOL Saturday of the second week, it's time to bring in the new cabinets we are putting in the kitchen, this is going to be fun. Three hours latter it's time to christen the new Island with steak, baked beans, and some adult beverages. Alot got done this day, have one week to finish everything else out and get Momma back in her kitchen. Island put back in place after the floor went down, pots put back in order, finish crown moldings, base board molding, and quarter round molding. and here is the finished product, she has a 68 inch island, and a 60 inch desk area, the pantries on either side of the desk have full roll outs so she doesn't have to look into the shelves to see what is in there. Momma is Happy, and happy wife means happy life. What a great improvement. hope you all enjoyed.

    Pa elk, Pic

this might need moved and I will let the Mods decide, this elk was taken in the Pa elk season and scored 370 something, it is the second largest typical elk taken in Pa. the boy holding the elk was not the one that shot it, it was taken by an Amish fellow who for the life of me wouldn't let me take his picture. LOL He works for the company we get our doors for our cabinets from. he lives in Bellville Pa.
  14. he is a nice buck. you get an ATTA-BOY
  15. hate to show the date, but I was 18 and it was October of 1984. I had a 3 pt. come in quartering away at 31 yards, the first shot I took hit a limb dead center and stuck there LOL heck it might still be there. nocked another arrow and leaned out a little more. he ran about 60 yards and piled up. this was also my first deer period, I continued to hunt with the bow and scored 7 buck before I ever shot one with the rifle. I still look at that small rack hanging in the garage and can remember that day, it started a passion that has continued for 27 years.
  16. congrats on a great doe, and the first one. Keep after them young man here is hoping a lot more drop for you.
  17. Know what you mean, I cut one last winter that had side preasure on it and as soon as I was through it, it kicked back and took my legs right out from underneath me. Some times it's scary.

  21. Heck the blue tounge hit so hard I am surprised you saw any whitetail. good looking buck there, nothing wrong with putting a Muley on the ground on occasion.
  22. Good buck Ryan, this year is going well HUH
  23. give her a big ATTA-GIRL from me, i'm hoping my girls switch to liking to hunt. I'm not holding my breath though
  24. What area did you get that buck, My inlaws are between Miles City and Baker and are telling me deer numbers are really down between the blue tounge and winter kill.
  25. that is a good buck, nothing wrong with him, Pap always says if we ordered them out of a catalog they would all be bigger.
