  1. Quality products and customer service too. I lost a spring out of a release. called them up and they sent replacement without hesitation. said I'd pay for it and they said don't worry about it. not only that but they said I should have gotten multiple springs for different trigger weights so they sent a couple different ones.
  2. Good luck guys. They sure did hit the dirt last year. Hope it's a safe and successful trip with the weather as good as it can be with Tim there.
  3. that's a tough great performing sight. ive got experiences to prove it. little heavy but built like a tank. I also have the 0.010" pins and they are plenty bright for younger eyes. micro adjust you'll really like too. I had a mishap where my bow with that sight on it fell off the roof of my car one morning going down the highway at 55+mph before day light during hunting season few years or so back. mail man picked it up on the side of the road soon after me, saw my "lost bow", and gave me a call the next morning. when I got it home I shot 3 arrows at a vegas face target at 20 yards and had 3 x's. some adjustment knobs and what not had road rash but it was and still is going strong along with the PSE Evo bow. Probably the dumbest mistake I ever made but good equipment and a good person left in this world saved me.
  4. have a lot behind the house. might get out a little if I have time. if you get enough worth while, salt the tails and send them to Mepp's so they can make more lures. Opposed to just tossing them.
  5. I'm still using Dead Coyote T shot 3.5". expensive but I have some left. federal heavy weight #5 shot works and Hevi-13 #4. Buck shot works too as others mentioned.
  6. good shooting Ruth... you're consistent! let us know how you made out. the local NEBA shoots have started but they're more individual events. there's a local 3D league I usually shoot in. there's 8 IBO qualifiers here in NY... closest one is about an hour away in Hudson Falls. Might go to that one just to qualify for fun but not sure as if i'll make it to the worlds. too much going on and don't have enough time to devote. also I figure you've got to shoot half 10's and half x's to be in the running for the win (315 out of 330) and I'm not there yet.
  7. have been too busy to even think much about turkey hunting. going to try and get out this weekend to scout some and setup a small plot, dusting, and strutting area or two. will spots they've used in the past i'll just make a little nicer and more welcoming. i'll get out the turkey taking implements and make sure everything still is good to go. going to try and shoot the recurve throughout this month to get warmed up before then. tall order though and might have to bring a gun just because. still chilly with snow on the ground where the sun can't get as much so we'll see.
  8. another old original post. so here's the scoop. it took me 8 months to get my pistol permit along with my wife. I really like the Sig 226 scorpion. Ended up getting a Ruger Mark III Hunter 22LR. I now shoot that much more than any other. Especially right now as I'm on a traveling NRA bullseye pistol league, shooting throughout this region of NY.
  9. old original post I wonder if he's still around. I've learned a great deal more since I posted.
  10. I've had a few for a handful of seasons now and they work well.... http://www.coleman.com/product/ultra-high-power-flashlight/2000012913?contextCategory=Flashlights#.VMmYSHnQOM8 http://www.coleman.com/product/ct-50/2000012921?contextCategory=Flashlights#.VMmZgXnQOM8 then a smaller one that's still a Coleman that I couldn't find. they all seem very bright and the light is around 5000 kelvin for color temp.

    Arrows

I have only shot them once. they seem to be alright. Goldtip and mostly Easton is what I've stuck with. Setup a right front of center with a square nock and insert well enough and you'll get any better quality arrow shooting well. Easton lightspeed 3D and Hexx arrows are what I shoot 3D with and do a little hunting with.
  12. I really really wish I was closer then. I don't claim to be the best but I'm glad to say I give people a run for their money. I'd bring everything but a Mathews. A lot of great bows these days. Nothing wrong with supporting a brand but trash talking the rest....hahaha..... now that's just silly.
  13. I won't be shooting a league until this summer. I go to shoots here and there. this spring i'll be practicing as well. however, now during the winter it's Adirondack foothills pistol league.
  14. looks like you all had a great time again. heard it's getting better every year. still needs more fishing stuff.
  15. Been extra busy this year. Haven't been around much. The Bugbee family (Jessica, baby Taylor, and I) hope everyone here on the Realtree Forums has a MERRY CHRISTMAS!
  16. Alaska has some good eating too yup. Congrats to you and the Son in law.
  17. sounds like I'd have to shop for some warmer gear too. lol
  18. burned up all my vacation on the arrival of my first kid and the new QDM co-op I'm running with a few others.
  19. Only magazine I get these days is Quality Whitetails
  20. I've had friends from Buffalo posting pictures of stuff caved in and opened garage doors with walls of snow. Glad college was years ago and I'm not there anymore. Word has it they're giving anyone who helps clean out Bills stadium free admission just to make the game happen. Not sure plan's going to work but we'll see. Sabres hockey was still a go at HSBC arena earlier this week and there was supposedly 50 people and they won against San Jose who's a good team.
