Good comfortable quiet clothing for the elements in say Realtree camo, binos, and rifle is all. A good mentor that's a deer hunter that kills deer would help. "Strategies for whitetails" is still a great book to read if you're just starting out or even down the road to help with the knowledge side f things. You then just have to get out and get experience.

Yup good no one got hurt and the acts will catch up with them.

League night again yesterday evening. Shot a 306. Everyone busy this summer but still managing to get out and shoot?

I think US armed forces are fighting a fight that can't be won in a lifetime. sure things can improve but the situation is hard pressed to change. when those over there realize how it's gotten worse maybe they will become a little more organized. when you're in that deep keeping everything in check throughout an entire county is impossible to do. a timeline shouldn't have dictated how to pull out forces. the situation should dictate things. bad threats leeching back into peaceful areas is inevitable though. I mean there was little to nothing mentioned about what their situation is and what they plan to do along with our withdrawal support. it was just yea I'm Obama and I'm deciding to make our troops leave.

bare shaft tuning just helps to perfect the alignment of the arrow shaft with the alignment of the power stroke of the bow. some bows it's easier to do then others, even of the same model. so I think some bows can be tuned to be more forgiving/allow for consistent shooting more so than another bow, no matter how much times you spend tuning it. I think a "perfectly" tuned bow will shoot perfect for you but not necessarily for someone else. that said I know of very few archers that applies to that can shoot consistent enough tell the difference. I think you're best to tune a bow to it's design and for what it is and then better your shooting to help improve accuracy. so if your grip pressure is not ideal and a quirk of your shooting you're better off not tuning the bow to account for it. this would be a short term limited gains kind of fix. even if you're able to repeat the grip 7 out of 10 times perfect you're better off searching to find another unique different grip for you that maybe allows you to repeat it perfectly 8-9 out of 10 times. the bow will remain constant. even the most consistent minimal imperfections in you and your shooting won't be consistent. therefore to an extent tune yourself to the bow imperfections more than tune the bow to your imperfections as the bows imperfections are constant. when you reach a level of dropping arrows right into each other at 80-100 yards that's the only way to improve. after shooting a week you might move your rest a 1/16-1/32 of an inch and then see how that goes but you may be changing a few things with you. when you figure out how to robin hood arrows again and again, often, at 100 or even 80 yards I'll come shake your hand and get your autograph at the Olympics. lol

just don't touch them or if there's a doe around back off. the doe is around because it's feeding time otherwise the doe ignores it as to not attract attention to it. neighbors got 4 in the hay fields with the disc bine and my dad has gotten 2. hopefully there's still lots more to make it.

shot again yesterday evening. ended up with a 304. I was rushing a bit. it's important to slow down. if you settle in and focus on pulling through with back tension that pin will slow right down and tighten up just before the release fires. that's part of the difference between shooting 10's and X's.

I've French tuned and it works well as long you can maintain yourself to shoot really well and not pluck or punch the release at all. this is more important and more precision is required the closer you are to the target. when it comes to paper tuning it's my opinion that grip pressure is important with either fletched or bare shafts. more so with bare shafts. if grip pressure top to bottom isn't consistent or correct then it'll cause vertical nock movement throughout the strings power stroke after release. with a bare shaft there's nothing to counteract that movement like fletches and air resistance. this is also why follow through is equally important.

nope just shooting it because someone else I know got it. not looking at upgrading for a while. My PSE Evo breathes fire plenty enough. That I definitely don't need to upgrade but mainly don't want to upgrade. Then I've got a PSE Bowmaddness for 3D that seems to be working well enough. I think it's good to keep up with new products out there though. Similarly impressed with how quiet the PSE Full throttle was.

shot again today. I seem to be hovering right around 300/330 with not shooting often. Hopefully I can get some practice in during the week or weekend to improve. Life happens I guess. lol

My dad used a bike with good results. Running or swimming is definitely good and better on joints. tread mill down stairs gets limited use. they work though. Jon Brunson lost a boat load of weight and has gotten his health and old physique back in order. I'm sure you can find a video online somewhere.

Yea I'm sure if I had the opportunity I would. I don't blame ya. Never heard of a bad African Safari when it's a safe one.

a two finger doesn't have enough control, a four finger is easier to punch, and a three finger is just right in my mind. keep weight on your index finger until you settle in.

Awesome! I think of Africa as a pipe dream to hunt. I know you can do it but I've got others first in the list here in North America. Congrats on the trophies!

Haven't tried the whitetail but I shoot Federal Fusion 150gr out of my 30-06. They seem to shoot very well and have great terminal performance on deer. Haven't shot any other big game with them yet. my one 30-06 is picky about what ammo to shoot but seems to like the Fusions just fine. They aren't expensive either so I've stuck with them.

Yesterday evening I shot the new Bowtech RPM 360. It was set at 70 lbs and 29". I will say it was very quiet and shot well despite it wasn't exactly setup for me. I was mostly impressed with it's draw and back wall. For 360 fps IBO it pulled easily, like butter, and with no humps in the draw cycle.

Along with some local clubs hosting outdoor 3D shoots, the local summer league I've been in just started back up. Shot yesterday evening with the high score of 303 I believe but there's room for improvement.

Still good news is always good news. Your family are fighters that's for sure. Good to hear the road is still bump free.

Heading Maine this weekend so I might only have three days left if the season. Work a lot and can't take time off so hopefully I can make it happen then.

Yea no good. I've seen it a lot on the family farm. People have no patience. We get problems with loaded hay wagons and round bale wagons. Drivers can't see around to pass but they swerve out anyway on a hope and a prayer. Our road trips with equipment aren't more than minutes long too.
