  3. too bad there are like 6 episodes and the same ones come on over and over again all day and the outdoor channel worships them. then they pull that, you'll have to wait and see it on roadtrips crap. At first, I was excited about this show, but the only episode that was Awesome was Vatoville and that's just because it was a deer massacre. Spirit of the Wild blows bone collectors out of the water
  4. not to be nosey, but how much did it cost? My x-force has a new zebra twist string, but I like the candy cane colored string that is on the new x-forces. Wonder how much they cost.....
  5. haha, awesome. been out shooting my bow, and I ask my mom and girlfriend everyday if it's deer season yet
  6. I have two stong passions, hunting and razorback athletics. I gave my girlfriend a 3 month window to get married. June, July, or August. More than likely july. Octoboer-Feb. is deer season. April is turkey season. Feb-May is Razorback baseball season. Football and basketball season is through the end of march and into early april. Might have to shorten the window though because the Hogs just made the College World Series and I am headed to Omaha tomorrow. Looks like we are going to have a hot july wedding As for a dedicated story....I hunted an Arkansas opening day in 2006 and it was the very first time I had bowhunted. It was HOT HOT HOT, but I still had on my scent lok stuff that was all long sleeve and hot. Didn't see anything that morning. My dad laughed at me when I got ready to go out that evening. He was like it's 85 degrees! I said "Yeah, and it's opening day baby!" I ended up seeing 4 deer. Never took a shot. Stayed in the tree until dark and then drove back to school (3 hours to fayetteville) to be in class by monday morning.
  7. I have several lock ons, some of them are 10-20 years old, and all of them are very solid stands that I can leave year round and be confident in their stability when I come back. The newest one I have was $59 brand new last year and i think it's made by ameristep, but not sure. It's got a relatively small platform but it's good enough.
  8. you guys need to get more inconsistent like me so you save your arrows!
  9. haha, when I saw this thread, I laughed and thought probably FOBs before I ever even clicked it. Very neat, but I will stick with vanes.
  10. I like dynamite and rabid, but got to make an actual girls name out of one of them. Dyna? Almost like Diana, short for dynamite
  11. thanks guys! that's not how he showed me to do it, but this method works for me! I strung it up and flung a few arrows from it. Did ok, but did lose an aluminum arrow on my last shot. I wasn't concentrating or paying attention because the string also hit my arm. It's gonna take a lot of practice before I would ever dream of hunting with it.
  12. without a bow stringer. I know it's not suggested but the guy at the pro shop who sold me the string just put it against his foot and flexed it. It's not a hunting rig and it's an old Bear bow, but I just wanted to string it and mess around with it. He made it look really easy when he strung it and unstrung it. I need to know the trick to doing it that way. Anyone know?
  13. i had a tru fire walmart cheapo until i went to get my draw length adjusted and forgot it. The pro shop I use had a tru ball caliper release that was painted blue. I put it on and loved the way it felt and shot. About a month later Dad and I left Arkansas to head over to memphis Bass Pro Shop. He got a Diamond Edge bow and I got a tru ball release. I love it, but need to shorten the tubing as I have small hands and have to wear it almost on my forearm!
  14. so a Martin Firecat was the bow putting out those low speed numbers?
  15. guess that poundage was plenty huh? smoked him! Great job bud!
  16. My brother played little league baseball just because his friends did and was never into athletics the way I was. Our dad, however, is as big into it as anyone. Well my brother wasn't doing so hot hitting so my dad offered him 5 bucks if he could just hit it fair. He smoked one over the right fielders head for a triple. Next play he scored and came and stuck his hand through the fence waiting on the money
  17. PSE X-Force SS, I've wanted one since they came out, so I got one a few weeks ago with my tax return! Woo Hoo!
  18. just remember you chase an arrow. if you are hitting right, you move the sight right. opposite of a scope on a gun.
  19. I'm confused, 100 for the DS and 10 a piece for 8 games and 15 for the unopened game? That's 195, you want $30 for shipping?
  20. that's one big spike! Cool bear cub pics!
