  1. Since I have moved out here to Washington, Orlan and I have been trying to arrange a meeting between the two of us and Friday morning it finally happened. I had friday off of work so I took off in my truck 2.5 hours east to Clarkston Washington. While I was there our plan was to drive around and see the country and animals as well as see what kind of hunting opportunities I might have. For being the summer time and 100 degrees we surprising saw a lot of animals at all times of the day. We went out after the best egg salad sandwich I have ever had that was prepared by his wife for lunch. Within 30 minutes of getting in the truck I looked out the window and looked up a couple hundred feet and there is a Big Horn ram standing at the edge of the rocks looking down at us. As the day progressed we saw white tails and mullies. Around 5 we returned home to eat dinner. Good God if you ever get the chance to eat Orlan or his wife's food DO NOT pass it up. It is simply amazing. Dinner time was some Buffalo Goulash over bread, topped with salsa. It would make you slap your grandma it was so good. After dinner it was time to head back out. We stopped at one of Orlan's friend/old hunting buddy's house to pick him up. While there the friend showed me a picture of a mullie that his father had killed some time ago and it was by far the biggest mullie I have ever seen!!!. Even watching all the shows of the big name hunters hunting the best mullie country in the world their deer had nothing on this one. Anyhow, now we are back in the truck and heading towards the Blue Mountains. We are riding around looking at land and come out of the woods to the fields and start spotting deer everywhere. We had to have seen 30 plus mullies. At one point driving down the gravel road we stopped and looked behind us with the binocs and spot elk grazing. It was a little too dark and the elk were a little to far to get pics. And that brings us to the end of Friday. Saturday morning I wake up and as I am getting out of the shower this smell hits me that makes me think what heaven will smell like. Its the smell of eggs and green peppers being scrambled in the pan and sausage being cooked. Once again, simply amazing. After breakfast we headed out in the 100 degree weather and started seeing deer right away. Unfortunately I had to get back to Richland for a cookout (or a BBQ as the west coasters call it) so the day with Orlan ended after a lunch at Grumpy's bar and food. All in all, this is the best adventure/trip I have made since I have been in Washington. I can not wait to go back and if anybody ever has the chance to go on a tour of the land between Clarkston Wa and the Blue Mountains with Orlan TAKE IT!!!! And also call me so I can ride a long again. I will be going back sometime in the near future and can not wait. Orlan, thanks again for everything!!! it was great meeting you and I have met a truly great friend, well actually two, your wife included. Now on to the pics...... Driving to meet Orlan.... Can you spot the Ram? 10 feet off the road at 1:30pm being 100 degrees (somethings wrong with these west coast deer) Some pics of what the country looks like around here and a mullie doe The Blue Mountains And Finally, the evening sunset and wildlife!!! The rest of the pics can be seen here..... http://s452.photobucket.com/albums/qq243/92xj92yota/
  2. Julie Kreuter Anywhere, I dont care.
  3. Wow, yall need to get out more with a shotgun and hunt some waterfowl, then you will become aware of Foiles. I heard the rumors and have seen all of his videos. I have watched sceens over and over listening and watching for the Forth shot, but have yet to see or hear it. I have my doubts of the truth behind the claims. From what I have seen and researched, I believe Jeff is a dang good guy and I would love to hunt at his club. For now my opinion is its just rumors towards him with 0% truth.

    Mr. Mod person

I was trying to keep track of time. I think he had 11 post in under 2 minutes and then they were gone in under a 90 seconds. That was kinda amusing.

  10. Hey Kathleen!!! Great to hear from you!!! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Washington is treating me well, I am ready for my drive up to Alaska one day. The job is going good. Been real busy but I am enjoying it. I get to do the things I like to do like express my thoughts and ideas in my design work so thats cool. And getting a paycheck again is very nice. Orlan is about 1.5 hours from me. I have not had the chance to go hang out with him yet. Well I have had the time, he hasnt, haha. I am waiting for him to tell me a date and I am there!
  11. All of their comments were placed in this thread before the other thread was created, fyi. :hammer2:
  12. really, dont even open up this thread or post some non sense BS. Stay in the other thread where you feel the need to bash him and assume the things yall do....I have kept my mouth shut in that thread so you should do the same in this thread. Now for the MJ fans. I will man up, I was/am a fan of his. I believe that his music was awesome and to this day will still throw in an old MJ cd to rock out too. I like a lot of his songs and feel that his songs helped some movies big time. This song I feel made the movie Free Willy. Watch the video and tell me it doesnt bring a chill to you.

    Making Money?

summer time in the South. Go to a marina or boat shop. I worked as a marine mechanic for a summer during college and it was by far the best summer job. The pay was great, working on the water was great, but the best was being on the lake everyday during the week and the sights on the lake during the summer are pretty fantastic if you catch my drift.
  19. I have hunted with a Knight and CVA and now I hunt with a TC Encore. There is no way I would go back. I love my encore and do not plan to replace it.....ever...... I have the .45 instead of the .50 and do not hisitate to take 200-250 yard shots with it. I am very confident in it and trust it in all situations. It might be out of your price range. I have no idea, I have not priced them in a while.

  21. dont count your chickens before they hatch;)
  22. I have a lot of experience with them. If you are looking for a toy and not a tool then it is the thing for you. If you are looking for a hunting vehicle then this is not for you. They are set up to haul tail, jump, rock crawl and take a pretty good roll. I have rolled on three times and walked away from it. It reminds me a my rock crawling competition days, where on some streched you would have to "pre-run" drive the course and then slow and get technical. The Razor, is a very fun toy in the woods or on the track. If you are looking for a hunting vehicle I would not recommend it. The bed is small, the cab is smalle and not a lot of storage area. My father has a Artic Cat prowler, which I would take every day of the week over the Razor. It has a large bed that will hold two deer and two climbing stands, and inside the cab is plenty of run for two big ol boys to sit and not have there shoulders touching. What are you planning to do with it? I say if you are planning to trail ride, want a go fast adrenalin rush 75% of the time the Razor is for you. If you want a working/hunting vehicle 75% of the time the Razor is NOT for you. They do hold up really well in a roll though. I have not rolled the Artic Cat yet and would much rather prefer to be in the Razor than the Cat. I have many many years experience in professional offroad driving and during that have rolled vehicles over dozens of times. The cage in the Razor seems to be the best from the factory, but the razor I rolled bent the tube a little and shifted it over to the drivers side 9 inches. After that roll I built a new cage for it and did a complete endo (cart wheel) and was able to drive away. So, first off its all a personal preference and second what do you plan to do with it. toy or tool???
  23. I think I can out run a turtle.....
