Ok well as most of you know from the "hot seat" thread I am currently unemployeed. Last Monday I had a phone intereview with a company in Washington State. The interview went great and we talked for 2 hours, the guy said I answered everything exactly how he wanted to hear. I gave him a follow up call and received an email from him 3 minutes ago. Within the email he stated that the head HR lady is sending me an "offer" letter and to expect it by Thursday. Now here is my question for people in HR postitions or people that have real jobs. If you interview over the phone with someone and it goes as best as it can, do you hire that person site unseen??? Do you think this "offer" letter is a letter offering me the job or offering me to come do a onsite interview??? I do not want to get my hopes up about being offered the job but my hopes are definantly up in the fact that the letter will bring good news either way. If I am offered the job, I will take it. This time in my life I need a huge change and I believe taking a job across the country would be big enough. Anyhow, to the people that know more about the hiring process than me, What is your take on this letter that is coming to me? Also I have not really asked for much on here but now I am, please keep me and my actions in your thoughts and prayers.
