    Snow Pictures

This is what I was lucky enough to wake up too. Maggie's first snow fall and she didnt know what the heck was going on. She kept trying to jump and roll around in it until she finally realized it was something she could eat. Then she just laid down and ate. The next two days are calling for lows from -3 - 0 and highs in the teens. All I have to do is get through the next two days of work and then will have 5 days off. I shall be found in a duck blind freezing somewhere.
  2. So, about these nurse's daughters........
  3. Congrats on two awesome deer Avery!
  4. Got everything finished up yesterday afternoon. Had to take the upper intake manifold off 3 times once done. Had some fuel injectors leaking, so I got a whole new o-ring kit to freshen them all up. Took some more vacuum lines and the egr system off. Trying to eliminate all things in the bay that I dont need. I love having space and getting rid of a lot of things is opening it up nicely. Got it running great and timed perfectly. Flushed the radiator and have new fluids. When all was said in done, I did an oil change, new filters and put in washer fluid that i havent had in the truck in 3 years. With all the upper now rebuild with my tinkering a month ago, the new head gasket and all other upper gaskets, new cam and fluid yesterday, hopefully this thing will last a while longer and keep me on the road. This weekend I put about 75 bucks into the truck with the gaskets, seals, and all the fluids it needed and about 10 hours of labor. Not too shabby.
  5. No sir, What you see is the casting mark.
  6. Is this what you were looking for Dan? Also, Just pop it into nuetral when you are coming to a stop and keep a foot on the brake and one of the gas. That way you dont burn your brakes up. Its not issue at all to go from drive to nuetral with higher than idle RPMs. DO NOT GO TO REVERSE FROM DRIVE. You will either come to an insanely fast stop as your drivetrain falls to the ground, or you will notice a very nonresistant roll and the gears strip and yu have no resistance internally. Also, with the IAC, just pull it off the intake, get some brake cleaner and spray in there, wipe as much as you can with a towel to clean it up. I would vite its more of a fuel issues instead of an air issues. But start where the others have told you. I dont know jack about vehicles.... I am sure Lynn will chime in soon with other opinions and things to check.
  7. Wouldn't mind some headers, but the ones to get for these motors are around 500 bucks. No thanks. That manifold is working perfectly. No cracks and seals up perfectly. Even though they have 280,000 miles on them, they are perfect besides the surface rust. Thats the advantage of toyota over Chevy, Things last! :shifty:
  8. Not really. This was my past 3 hours. Time for a walk with the dog and bed. Hopefully 3 hours in the morning will have this back running again. Getting a new head gasket, all new upper gaskets and a Toyota racing cam.
  9. Congrats on your first deer, an awesoem buck at that!!!
  10. I dont have any idea what you people are talking about, but is this the Kate with all the kids? Did she find some dude to be with so there is no more talk of Jon? Are the kids all doing good?
  11. Started today. Here are some links to live coverage of the race as well as pics/videos/ and a car tracker. http://www.pirate4x4.com/trailreports/baja-1000-2010/tracking.php http://www.pirate4x4.com/trailreports/baja-1000-2010/thursday.php I had the opportunity of a life time by being asked to be on a pit and chase crew for a class 1 vehicle. Unfortunately, I did not have the vacation for two weeks to take off of work and could not make it down their this year. Hopefully my two teams do good. So far, the TT (trophy Truck) that I am going for has Lance Clifford, the originator of the largest 4wd website in the world riding shot gun with Rodger Norman as the driver. These guys have been down in Baja for the past 4 weeks prerunning. They put in over 7000 miles of prerunning prepping for the race today. Some of the videos and audio from the start 2 hours ago is insane. Anyhow, not sure if anyone cares about this, but if you need something to pass the time and want to see an amazing event check out the links, look in them for links to pictures, videos and audio clips. Everything is insane down there right now!
  12. It's a great idea. That'll show 'em!!! I bet they won't steal again after that. Be sure to video and post it here so we can watch. Go get that thief!
  13. That's an awesome deer. Congrats on the hunt!
  14. just an FYI. These tires were designed and based off the blue and red label BFG Krawlers, A tire designed and proven for the rock crawlers, not the mud guys. They will do ok in mud but where they perform the best is in the rocks. There are other tires out there that will do a lot better in the mud but might not get the mileage like the KM II.
  15. Happy Birthday dude.
  16. What kind of terrain/driving are you going to be doing? What year Grand? ZJ or WJ? 16" or 17" wheel?
  17. Yes Sir. I only have about 6000 miles on them. They are doing good and not getting low at all. I always said I would never run a BFG but these are the only tires made in the size I wanted, so I bit the bullet and bought them. So far, I am very please with them.
  18. Beats me. I know since I drink so much water throughout the day that I have never really seen an increase or decrease with weight when I intake water. Even after I sweat like a champ or drink a gallon of water, my weight stays the exact same. As for muscle, I am not sure it grows that fast and as sure as poo dont feel any stronger. I know I am gaining a little muscle mass but mainly doing my lifting and high pace workout to get my heart rate up for some cardio building. I am unsure of what's going on, but I know I will be off the scales until Monday morning. I have been very strict on my diet and will continue to be. I will also do my hour long workout with a run every night this week. Then plenty of walking and exercise this weekend while I duck hunt. Carrying in 3 dozen decoys on my back, 3/4 mile walk, setting decoys in waders and retreiving birds in waders is a dang good workout.
  19. Well, after that last post, I went for a 2 mile run/walk followed by a 30 minute nonstop upper body workout. By the time I was done I wanted to die. No food after that workout, only a glass of water. This morning I weighed and was up another 1.6lbs. I am at 226.6lbs now instead of the 223.6 I was at Sunday night. This sucks...
  20. That is absolutely amazing that she has come that far in only 2 weeks. Thanks for the pics and updates, I have been looking forward to them as well as the ones in the future. I am still amazed at this entire process and what all is involved, but mostly about how far she has come in such a short time.
  21. This is starting out as a tough week. I am getting a lot of cravings for bad foods which is making me super hungry when I am not normally hungry. I am downing a lot of water during these times to cut the cravings but its killing me. I also am not seeing any change in the mirror and that is discouraging me but I do have to punch a new hole in the belt tonight or tomorrow. I also got on the scale this morning and I was at 225 even. How I gained 1.6lbs baffles me. I hope I can figure something out and reach my goal of 220 on Monday. Sometimes I just want to cave in and make a big fat juicy bacon egg and cheese biscuit with gravy. See, there is one of those stupid cravings and I just had a turkey sandwich on whole wheat with hot sauce and a side of pineapple. Dang this week! Dang these cravings! Dang it all!!!! Oh, and beer. I want beer, many of beers, but I am staying strong....I think.....Gotta go run or do something now.

    Hey Buckee!!!

Nice! While hunting this weekend we had around 50 or so swans fly over. Very cool to see. Let me know if you guys get that snow and when the non flowing waters start freezing.

    Hey Buckee!!!

What's that weather doing up there? We have 30 mph winds with 50 mph gust. High in the 60s and lows in the 40s. Mid week, rain stops and temps stay the same, then Friday wind and rain and Saturday calmer winds and snow with the highs in the mid 30s and lows in the 20s. If its getting bad up there, do you mind going out and kicking up all the ducks off the ponds please. Thanks
