Man that is great! We have twins, so I can relate to the whole experience. Great she could have them without c-section, ours held on and were only about a couple weeks early. Hard to watch them under the tent trying to breathe. I wish you all the best Shawn!

If he can shoot, I would let him stick with the 243 a few more years. I like the 7-08 better, but not worth buying another gun just for a slight caliber increase. Also got to be careful with recoil at that age. My girls shoot a 243, it's deadly when you keep the crosshairs where they should be for any rifle, just not forgiving for marginal shots.

This is a subject that has been talked about a lot over the years in forums. I've know guys with this problem but I really can't personally identify with it. I got over my jumpiness years ago with a rifle and have been squeezing the trigger ever since on both guns and bows. My problem is keeping my calm when a decent buck is under me (and sometimes when a doe makes me out and I want to take her) and I am trying to get a draw on him. Once I am in full draw, I got it made, no jerking the trigger from that point. Wish I could give you advice, but think of it just like a firearm, take a deep breath and slowly squeeze the trigger.

Nice pics guys! We planted 12 plots last weekend, a couple had places that were way too wet but they aren't going to dry out anytime soon. Planted rye, rye grass, clover, winter peas, and wheat. Left out the oats this year, don't ask me why. Need lime bad I know, maybe next year we'll get a bulk order up. Will try to get some pics soon, hope to get a little rain this weekend. Our lease has two types of land, high and dry, or low and wet lol. One side will burn up while you can grow rice on the other.

Starts Monday here. Extremely wet summer has created the worst mosquito hatch I have ever seen. Will be out, but sure hope it cools down soon.

I've killed a few deer out of an old waste water tank I got rid of at work (not human waste lol). Used a skill saw and some spray paint and had a decent blind for rainy days in under an hour.

Don't get me wrong, not saying it's a legal obligation, I just think it should be a common courtesy to inform the folks that are paying your taxes for use and upkeep of your property and roads what your plans are. At least that's how it works with us. The lessor owes you squat, it's a mutually beneficial relationship, but the nice thing to do is to pick up the phone and say "hey, we're going to start cruising section x to cut, might want to move your stands out". Is all I'm saying.
