  1. Great shots Dave! That may not be such a bad idea. Seems I remember you getting trail cam shots of a pretty impressive bear roosting there last year about this time.
  2. Link us up here or add it to your signature.
  3. Super sweet shots Dave! You always catch the raptor eyes so sharp it's sick! Speaking of eyes.....did Roxie dig a talon in ya on one of her landings.:1eye: Carefull out there bud, lol.
  4. Sound farmiliar Todd. At least you're on the board for the season.:toot: Can't wait to see your finds! Our last drop of snow doesn't want to leave either. We're looking at a thaw towards the end of the week so hopefully I can get back on some freshies then.
  5. LMBO- classic! Does he still look like that, lol.
  6. I'm a sucker for things like this even if it were impossible.:boo: You'd get my 5 bucks.
  7. Thanks for taking a peak guys! This was a fun shot to try to get. Playing cat and mouse with a beaver aint as easy as it sounds, lol.
  8. Cool, glad you're picking up a few from your cam shots! See what a little excercise will get ya.
  9. I've been itching to use that title for a long time now. Found this guy diving for branches down at the crick and enjoying a shore lunch. He's making a real mess in the creekbottom but I was glad to see him. I got to move in after he popped up through the same hole in the ice a couple times and dove back for more. Just wish I coulda got that darn branch on the left outta the way.
  10. Haha- you want one of these!:clown:
  11. Here's a cheaper Sigma 300mm that may work on your cam Carson. This is all I've been shooting lately on my nikon over my VR lens'. It has auto focus but no image stabilization(VR). Kinda noisy auto focus for stealthy shoots but not terribly noticeable from a distance, just enough to make the critters look at the cam and smile. Best thing about it is it's affordable and is probably pretty close to what you're looking for your lens to do. Just another option for ya. Has a little macro switch for shooting up close bug mugshots too, lol. This is where I got mine. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/391074-REG/Sigma_508101_70_300mm_f_4_5_6_APO_M_DG.html
  12. Would think it wont be long before some new neighbors move in to eat your old one before he's done with that punkin'.:48:
  13. He's single and searching:tt1:...and she's a purdy one! I was trying to hook up Daves Roxie with my Rocko The Redtail but he says she's too picky.:fish: Nice shot there Mike, is that with your new cam?
  14. Thanks guys. LOL- That's my pitiful attempt at a zoom blurr shot freehand with no image stabilization. I did one like that down a powerline right of way that makes you wannna have a seizure, lol.
  15. I've really been scratching for things to shoot lately. Hoping things heat up this month in more ways than one.
  16. Very appropriate soundtrack, lol. Think our rats popped out just long enough to chew some antlers and went back into hibernation with this last round of weather.:eat:
  17. What lens are you using? I've never used one but my understanding is you will need a very fast, very expensive f/1.4, 2.8 premium lens. I've seen some amazing shots with a TC.
  18. Happy B-day Ross! Hope it's a good one.
  19. Lol- I think mom and pop better unlock the basement door now. He's been down there WAY too long!
  20. Nothing in the way of sheds yesterday, but I did get into a few good looking areas I'll need to get back to when we get another thaw. My guess is two roadkills here. First one's an old doe. The 2'nd pic a button buck that was VERY fresh and still warm to touch. Concidered a backstrap lunch, but I just had a sammich. At a few new fields I found a lot of antlerless deer in groups of 10-20 grazing in the distance. In total I covered over 6 miles yesterday and came home empty handed.
  21. Yikes....hard to imagine a rescue team could get there fast enough under the circumstances. Glad you got one guy out. That aint no way to go.
  22. Sweet horn! How many years between that one and the oldie?
  23. What a haul!:jaw: Those leafsprings must have been groaning all the way back to the loading dock!
  24. LMBO- I'd hate to see what happens when the Mrs. comes along if you forget to put the seat down.:shifty:
