  1. Thanks guys, that looks and sounds like him. I'm terrible with bird ID's.
  2. What the heck is this thing? To me looks like a water bird but it was holding on a power line in the middle of the fields with not a puddle in sight. Sucker flew like the wind with a very smooth but erradic flight.
  3. RIP little fella.:bummed: Probably never bit no one and now he's famous for it,lol:camera:
  4. Good times Shaun...scaring the jeepers outta ma's always fun, lol. Great job on your sunset shots, very nice!
  5. I appreciate the comments everyone. Thanks for taking the time to check them out. Working on getting some good bone in my next series. The bucks are cooperating, I'm just a tad inconsistant with this thing yet in low light to post my latest efforts. John, she was about 40 yds out.Same with the second doe. Shot those maxed out at 200mm. The coons were real close. Mama was right around 5 yds at that pic.
  6. Thanks guys. I appreciate your view of them.:camera:
  7. Well I'm really trying to get better at this wildlife photography stuff. Been spending a lot of time running the woods with my cam and have gotten a lot of helpfull advice from Chenango Dave on the side. Thanks again Dave. Let me know what you all think. I'm seeing some good improvements through this help over some of my previous attempts.
  8. Stunning as always Dave.:camera: One question.....we know that you do bachelor parties...how 'bout weddings and honeymoons?
  9. Looks great William, I don't know how you can work on such a clean job site. Now make sure you get that crapper set and functional before lunch time, lol. How'd your rough inspection go?
  10. You're friggin' CRAZY! Off to the rubber room with you.
  11. Nice pics Mike. I especially like the 2'nd one for some reason. Great bunch of trout too.
  12. It's kinda slow around here, lol. :jaw: :offtopic: I want you all to look at these blots and tell me what you see.:1eye: Have fun with it. I see a...... running dog... Eagles head... Sea turtle feeding.... Dinosaur skull..... Scooby-doo brighter days ahead....
  13. Congrats on the new cam! Read the directions, lol. Seriously, I was in the same boat when I got my new DSLR......clueless. :stupid:I still am. Actually getting a bit more farmiliar with it just because I shoot it every day. I pick Chenengo Daves brain from time to time and post my crappy pics for him to critique for me. He has no problem telling me exactly what I did wrong. I also joined a photography forum to get some pointers and to let other helpfull members critique my shots. Again....no problems with them telling me exactly where I went wrong giving me something to work on for my next shoot. It's not too hard for me to get the critters to fill my lens but it sure is annoying when they do and I muff a series of shots. Guess after seeing some fantastic wildlife photos, kinda makes you want to do the same but there's quite a big difference between taking a great picture with all the basics in check, and just taking point and shoot snapshots. The button on my cam that gets the most use is my "Delete" button. I'm trying to change that. Good luck and as I've been told over and over...practice, practice, practice.
  14. Quick walk to the crick today...almost didn't take the cam because of the immediate threat of rain. Glad I did.
  15. Hey guys, wondering what some of your favorite "sauce" is to add as an important ingredient to some of your recipes. Kinda looking for at least a brief description of the recipe here too, so don't just give me your favorite hooch. BTW- J-E-L-L-O can not be the key ingredient either for your entree!
  16. Never passed up a big buck with long backstraps. Have shot more than my fair share of short racks and straps too. Been known to sweep a few doe's off there feet whenever possable. Yep.....MEAT fo me! No hanging from trees or hiding in tents. Make my own blinds.
  17. Rednecks working as a stand up comic now full time. Glad your trip went smoothly Ruth.
  18. Good eye Straight Shooter! .....after our gentle scuffle.

    Lol.....boooooo.......hisssssssss! Get the hook:pop:
  20. Yeah John....I'll take a quick pic with my catch and send them back on their way. No harm in these banded fellas even if they do get ya. You just bleed for a bit longer than you normally would due to the snake spit that prevents clotting. That's how they slow down what they hit if they don't catch it first strike. You don't even feel anything more than the initial impact. Simply harmless creatures. He had the chance to ellude me but chose to stay still untill the last momment before trying to make an escape. Got pretty aggressive at that point but calmed down once in hand. I can see how they could be mistaken for a venomous snake by coloration but the location is all wrong.
  21. Down at the crick today. Found a nice one.
  22. Very funny to me you word it that way Joe. About a month ago I got pulled over on my mountain bike heading home from the trout stream. The officer said he pulled me over because someone had called claiming they saw a rifle sticking out of my back pack just up the road....or so he said. Had my fishing pole strapped to the side. Asked him if he was gonna give me a ticket for being "murder" on the fish. He kinda chuckled and let me go after he ran me to check for warrants. Clear this time, lol.
  23. Hope you had a good one bud! Happy B-day!
  24. Still got some placenta behind his ears. Nice to see the little ones alive and well.
