Shot a 3 arrow group of Beman 340's into the bag last night. Upon removal of the arrows I noticed a 1" sliver of the carbon shaft protruding from the target. All 3 of them were already on the ground in no particular order so no idea which one it came from and no visual signs of which one shed this piece. Unbelievably as big as it was there is just no telling with the naked eye on any of them.:1eye: I flexed them all but that revealed nothing either. Any suggestions to find the damaged shaft, or would I be better off to retire all 3.

I try to make time to shoot 50 two or three times a week. With shed hunting coming to an end I should have more time to bump that up by at least one more day. Got about a month to get ready for gobblers.

A friend of mine on another forum was kind enough to craft this beautiful knapped knife for me. It arrived today in exchange for some old antlers I had laying around. This was a gift to my father like no other I've ever given him. I sure do like it...and he does to. I had no idea how sharp these things could be. A big thanks to my buddy Ken at NYA. Have a look.

I'd have to say having an intimate knowledge of the land I hunt them on. Can't fool them into range someplace they can't get to or don't want to be.

Had one for my back years ago. I swear they have a temperature control setting on that thing to test your tolerane to heat. If that's not enough they release the bugs- felt like I had ant's crawling into every orfice but dared not to flinch. The final straw was a Micheal Jackson song that came through my headset. More like a torture chamber. Had to reschedule another the following week and fell asleep in it. Hope the next one goes better for ya Mike.

I suppose if I'm gonna do this, I may as well do it right and only once. Thanks guys.

Hmmm....lots of mixing. Just a walkway with average weight foot traffic. Hand tamping and 4" gravel base I'm thinking maybe going with 2" of crete. Think that would be sufficient?

For anyone that knows anything about concrete work. Little project I have planned here shortly. I have 110 sq. ft. of area I need to cover with 3"- 4" of concrete. I know there's a formula to figure this, but for the life of me I can't remember it. I'll get it in either 60# or 80# bags(whatevers in stock). Just trying to get an estimate of how many bags I'll need to complete the job?

If I had a dollar for every time I grabbed my bow and walked out the door without putting on my release....I could've bought a back-up to keep in my pac. Good idea on having 2 for that reason alone to me.
