i got a pro-hunter with the kathadin barrell on it!! I absolutly love the caliber for in the woods!! I got hooked after my buddie shot a 233# buck from 185yrds open sight marlin!!Awesome!! I had to have one!!With the pro-hunter stock recoil isn't as bad as my 270!! I love it!!

as far as range finders goes my wife who doesn't know much about the name brands of hunting(god love her) bought me a bushnelle rangefinder and bino combo pack last yr for my birthday!!For the set ity was somewhere in the 300-400 dollar range!!The range finder has the arc feature which tells you bullet AND arrow drop compensation!!The bino's aren't that bad either!!I have never been a really big fan of leupold except their scopes and would rather have nikon if it were my choice!!Thats just my opinion!!

Was trying to step it up a little and was thinking of starting some grunts or bleets!! It has been seasonably warm here and i really haven't seen any rut activity!!!I was wondering how or if i could hit the horns with a grunt or bleet!!What have you all experienced best for calling combo's if any combo at all?

we here in maine wish the bounty would come back here!!With record snowfalls the past two yrs and large amounts of yotes our deer herd has diminished very low!!They are predicting 15,000 less deer harvested here in maine!! So i guess i will do my part this yr and go yote slaying which i have never hunted!! So can anyone give me good winter hunting advise for these creatures and what has been a good bait to use!!!ALL help will be greatly appreciated!!!

one of my buddies just flew to colorado on an elk hunt last month and it was cheaper for him(with insurance and all)to send it to a ffl out there via ups than to take it on the plane and risk "losing his luggage"!!

the best part is going to bass pro to buy a neew gun than going into mother natures best secrete the WOODS!!!

ya but what about drunks with a gun!!The other day a well known partier in town was out on a buzz on and was smart enough to take a knapp in his truck!!Well he took a knapp at a WELL known public hot spot for hunting think ing he'd wake up and go hunting!!This will blow your mind!!!He woke up just as legal light and looked out his window and there stood a pretty nice 8point buck!!Rolled window down and bang right from the seat of his truck!!He walked away totally scott free and never any charges as he bragged around town about his tag!!That makes me sick to think people like him even exist!!

after a long day inside the crane i got a little time to actually go try it out!! If the floor plate is the only diff than i got an awesome rifle!! I have a 300wsm in the xcr rmef and in my opinion the only diff is the floor plate!! i shot 10 rounds through it and after the first shot the thing was a tack driver!! It felt good shouldered and the recoil was comparable to the 30-06 rem. i got!!I have several high end rifles that hardly make it out of the safe and i wanted this rifle to use!! I am starting to hate the thought of buying a toy to keep tucked away in the safe!! So i guess it's the rifle for me!!I am just glad it doesn't have the reputation of the 770 or 710!!!Thanks for your input friends!!

to bad maines bioligists couldn't learn something from another state!! The coyotes have taken over our deer herd here in maine!!They suspect 11000 fewer deer this yr and are blaming the winter !!What about in the old days when my gram used to tell me about snow banks as high as the telephone wires!!I just wish they'd do something!!

The wife and i had to go out of town on a buisness confrence for the past three days!! While i only had one meeting yesterday morning she was all day in meetings!! I live 4 hrs away from cabelas and was going to be within 10 miles of the one in maine!!With the ammo situation as it is a bunch of buddies gave me a big ole list to pick up while i was there!! So of course the ammo is in the gun section!!As i looked one of the salesmen approched me and we talked!!I was hearing alot of good things about all the 7mm rounds(ultramag,mm08,rem.mag) so was kinds wanting to add one to my collection!!As i talked i set my eyes on a bdl with walnut stock, man what a beautiful rifle!! We talked and the salesman showed me the adl that was on sale!!I really liked the bdl(or atleast the looks)!But after talking with him and he convinced me the adl was the same thing with just as good accuracy for less money!!A salesman trying to sell me a cheaper rifle i thought it must be true!! After reading some reviews on it i have read alot of mixed reviews!!So is it remingtons junk model 700!!I got a 770 and all the junk hype about that i really like how smooth and accurate it is!!So if i could get some feedback from my fellow rt friends it would be greatly appreciated!!
