Just read an article about the Missouri Conservation Dept. will be issuing 30 to 40 permits a year to hunt elk as soon as the herd doubles( we're a little over a hundred right now) The best part is I only live about 45 minutes away from Peck Ranch which is where they are located. The dept. says it will probably be 2015 before any permits are sold. I can't wait!

After 6 Mo. of looking The only thing you can't find around here are .22, .223, 9mm, and 45mm. 7.62x39 are becoming easier to get ahold of and we just bought an AR-15 lower so looks like I got plenty of time to build the gun before I need ammo for it! lol

Dominant eye question I'm the same way. I shoot with my left eye which is the weak one and I shoot just fine...most of the time lol

? from wife I have a 30-30 with a side mount scope for a right handed person and I'm left handed and I can't shoot it for nothin and neither can my dad but somehow it shoots dead on for my little bro who is right handed

Well I'm in Lebanon Mo all week for an All Star football game. We're playing for the Ronald McDonald House "tooth truck". I feel pretty honored being picked for the game along with doing it for a great cause.

Homemade Canoe Trailer? All the old canoe trailers around here go for like $600. I went to the lake today and passed a guys house and it looked like he had boat graveyard. I saw a couple of old boat trailers and was thinking about seeing if he would sell one real cheap.

Anyone here ever built a Canoe trailer? I'm planning on buying 2 canoes in the morning and I can only carry one on the top of the ole bronco 2 and I don't want to dish out a thousand bucks for a factory made one. Anyone have any experience in the matter?

Careers in the outdoors That's a great ACT score! I was thinking about becoming a game warden but the jobs are hard to come by here. We have 1 agent per county and when someone gets the job, they keep it!

I'll be off to college this fall and I'm still on the fence about what I'll be majoring in. I was thinking about becoming a teacher and coaching or getting a business degree, but I'd rather have a job that I could work outside or at least keep away from being stuck behind a desk. Does anyone have any ideas?

Does anyone use Primos mouth calls? I got a new pack the other day and I didn't know that it came with 2 Sonic Dome calls. Does anyone have any experience with these? Do they work? I'm used to the old school flat plain white ones!
