It may be plentiful here too, I don't look for it but I didn't remember seeing any. I just look for 30-06, .270, and 7.62x39.

I haven't heard anything bad about it for deer. Low recoil, plenty of knock down power they say, but ammo would probably be a little hard to find.

I'll be going out here in a little while with the bow. This is the first I've been out with a bow since mid October but I haven't stopped practicing so that won't be a problem. We still got quite a bit of snow on the ground so it should be fun. I'll be looking for anything that steps out, I'll be on some public land so if I can get a doe, I'll take it. I'm still looking for that first bow kill!

I respect your post. I am not one to judge, I haven't been to church in a few years, but that doesn't mean that I am a heathen. I choose not to go to church because the past few churches that I have attended have been nothing short of a judge and jury. Does that mean that I don't believe in God? No. I have accepted Jesus Christ as my lord and savior. For me, hunting brings me closer to Jesus. Everytime I'm in the stand I send up a prayer or two, and as soon as I shoot an animal, I pray that it was a good shot and that it didn't suffer, and thank Him for giving me a chance to harvest that animal.

Good luck! Our alternative season starts the 21st here in MO. Don't think I'll pull out the muzzleloader this year, I have to replace some screw on the trigger. I will probably just use the bow or my dinosaur of a crossbow. That things about as loud as Arrowhead Stadium.

This is my first deer contest and it has been a blast!

Don't give up Mudrunner! All it takes it one lucky moment for one to come in range. It seems like every deer I saw this year have came in when I least expected it. Most of the time, the deer weren't even using a trail, so you never know. Good luck buddy.

You could use the Gundom for the moisture problem also, but electrical tape would probably be cheaper.

Yeah I second that lol. I wish I could get the bow back out tomorrow morning but this guy has finals tomorrow so hopefully I can get back out maybe this weekend.
