  1. You go girl, it's going to be long winter, spring and summer waiting to use all that stuff. I hope you get to break it in right this coming season.
  2. Here is mine, it's the buck I killed down east here in NC opening week. I keep bucks on there that I have killed, it was funny because the day before I killed this guy. My hunting buddy was giving me up the road because I still had a 10 point on there that I had killed in 2008 and told me I needed a new picture that he was tired of looking at that one. LOL Hopefully I will be able to change it next season.
  3. Little to far away for me to make it, but I'm ready to start shooting some foam here in NC and SC. My tournaments will start up in January and the way the weather is starting out here, it's going to be tough early on.
  4. This sounds pretty cool and a lot of fun.Might have to get my nieghbor involved in this when the weather permits.
  5. Mike, please don't think everyone is bashing your mount or kill at all, it is directed towards your taxidermist. It's just very uncommon for such a quick turn around on a mount unless a taxidermist has an extra hide on hand. In general the mount looks good but the detail of the mount I believe is what we are all looking at, such as the ears, eyes, the snout, and the form itself. You are very proud of it and that is what counts and I'm happy for you. He's a great deer and will hold lots of memories for you of the hunt.
  6. Oh My God what a brute! Congrats and wait to hang in there for him. Great buck.
  7. Holy Antlers Batman! That almost ressembles the Beaty Buck it's got some many points. LOL
  8. I would participate in this thread but it's not in my forum room. :shifty:So I will make this short and sweet! LOL j/k Mike Merry Christmas to you Buddy.
  9. :toot:Can you hear that big sigh of relief from your team mates, Joe! Congrats on some good deer buddy!
  10. Not questioning whether its a nice buck or not, I would shoot it in a heart beat. Just some folks get a little mislead by false measurements and have their bubble popped. I hope it scores higher than 90" if it is fact bigger than what the pictures show.
  11. I'm with Tom, I think this guy will go around 152" to 155" gross.
  12. Wow! :jaw:118, I'd better score my bucks again. This is one a took in September with 9 6/8" and 10 3/8" G2's, 8" and 7 4/8" G3's, maybe mine are little longer than I thought.
  13. 87 to 81-TRUTH!! Joe's Buck-Rumor!! LOL  Hey buddy, I'm just enjoying it while it last. :poke:
  14. It'll be hard for him to make 90" gross with that G3 missing. More than likely come in around 80-83" net. I agree he is about 2 1/2 years old.
  15. Hello guys and gals, anymore luck out there? I've sent Ozarkgal a PM a few weeks ago and still haven't heard from her, have any of you? H or BH, you still hard at it? Merry Christmas to all of you and your families. Kevin/SS
  16. I got to looking and noticed I didn't post my deer from Ohio back in November. Took a nice big Doe and this decent 8 point, he's not the biggest but happy to get him. It was a great week up in Ohio and saw lots of deer, I had a 160 class 10 point at 30 yards for about 15-20 minutes but no good shot opportunites.
  17. Goldtips are an excellent choice, not pricey and a very reliable arrow. I'd recommend the Hunter XT's since they are a bit better on the straightness. Your arrow length will be determined by the arrow rest you choose for your bow but you can get your arrow length at a local bow shop when you bow is set up. The 5575 is perfectly spined for the poundage you will be shooting, I hunted and used them for tournaments for several years. I still use the Goldtips for tournaments but switched to the CX Maxima Hunters for hunting. These are very pricey but well worth the money to me. Just getting back into bowhunting, go with the Goldtips.
  18. Ohiobucks gave me a soft cooler with beef/deer stick and cheese sticks, also a new Butt-Out II. Can't wait to try that out:yes: Thanks again Tom.
  19. Congrats! Look forward to hearing it.
  20. I've killed many squirrels with just my target tips from my tournament arrows. A good head shot or through the lungs puts them down for the count. I've tried the G5 heads and judo points but don't get great accuracy out of them beyond 20 yards.
  21. He is pushing an 18 point if one of his stickers measures and inch.:toot:
