  1. Congrats on the doe but you will only beable to upgrade for points with a buck now. unioncounty picked us up some more points, I'm hoping to have an upgrade after I get back from Ohio with a buck having more points on his head.
  2. I guess I could have, but went ahead and found some on cabela's and ordered it.
  3. Well, we've got a a ton of it down south here. If you were closer to were I hunt in Ohio, I'd bring you a bunch of it when I come up there.
  4. What is the deal? I've been shopping on line for APG and it is so hard to find the uninsulted bibs and T's. As much as APG is advertised, you'd think I'd get a ton of hits on them. I know, I shouold be complaining about killing deer! LOL
  5. Hey Clay, Glad to hear things are going well for you and the job is good for you. That does suck about the hunting but the next seasons shouold be good for you. Good to hear from you and so glad to hear things are working out for you. take care and keep us updated.
  6. I even looked when I was down east in Durham Chris, not a thing but Hardwoods. Mike, I've got three Walmarts within 20 minutes of my house and the only article of APG they've got is APG insulated bibs and everything else is Hardwoods. I don't understand why other than the reason you said for them having it. It still sucks because I'm going to have to pay shipping now to get some. Last year that is all they had in stock.
  7. I am totally PO'd!!!! Why in the heck is Walmart only carry RT Hardwoods Grey?????? I've been to three different Walmarts and that is all they have,WHAT'S THE DEAL?? I need some RT AP or APG and can't find it anywhere around here. Why in the heck are they only carrying this cano pattern??? I know I can order this but I can get it cheaper at Walmart than ordering it. I love the RTHardwoods Grey but i've got plenty of it, is anyone else noticeing this or is it just a southern thing here? LOL
  8. Has this contest been approved by Scott?????????????
  9. Kentucky Bound I just saw a huge 157" 8 point at the taxidermist that come from Kentucky. I'm not hunting Ohio next year, I'll be traveling to Kentucky next season, all ready got some property lined up in Northwest Ky. Can't wait! My chances of killing a 150 is much better than a 190! LOL
  10. Congrats on the doe! Oct 30th can't get here quick enough for me. good luck to all of you.
  11. The last two years I have gone on the second week of November to Ohio and the rut was in but the bucks were locked up with Doe's. I'm with Chris on wanting to hunt the Pre-rut, so we will be getting up there this year on the 30th of October.
  12. Hello Everyone, just checking in to see how your seasons are going. I haven't been back in the woods since opening week. I wish you all the best of luck, my Ohio hunt can't get here quick enough. I'm really thinking of getting into the woods here at the house and try to put something else down on the ground. good luck to you all and be safe out there. SS
  13. Thank you everyone, I've given up on the dilemma of no blood and very thankful he only went 50 yards before going down. I've all ready got him at the taxidermist and can't wait to get him back. I just hope my luck continue over on my trip to Ohio on the 30th of October, good luck to all of you and stay safe out there. Spikey, I apologize for stepping outside the bounds of the Scrub Masters nation, it was a tough decision of sending a Muzzy through him but the power of the "Dark Side" was to strong:oops: Steve, honestly it really wasn't a hard tracking job since I just walked about 30 yards from where I last saw him before he got out of sight. You right, his chest cavity was slam full of blood but he did have two very nice holes through his lungs. the entrance hole was a little high but the exit hole was spot on in the middle of his side.
  14. Awesome pictures Mike and this is the first time I've veiwed your thread. LOL That is one heck of a thicket they are heading into and I don't blame you for not wanting to go in there again, but what if Gigantor runs in there? lol Question though, are those stills froma video or actual camera or was someone up there with you? Just curious because of the one taken of you with you bow in hand? Pretty dang cool.
  15. Yes, its early but it has been the only team I've been on that has ever been in the lead at any point. LOL good luck to all of you and lets put some more brown down on the ground.
  16. I'm excited about Ohio season but not opening day (LOL), I am excited about OCT 30th and my one week hunt of there. Good luck to you guys this morning and be safe out there.
  17. Now see, if you shot as good as me you can shoot between the ribs and miss those rib bones. LOL:poke:
  18. Great story and congrats on a fine looking Doe.
  19. Even still with a youth bow having 30 to 35 lbs. of KE, it's still enough to punch through the deer. Not arguing, just pointing out that its above the energy it takes to have a trocar tip punch through a deer hide.
  20. Yes, he has got a small G-4 (7/8") on his left beam but officially scoring him, it doesn't qualify. He also has a 3/8" G-4 on his right beam but legal scoring is 1" or longer for P&Y and the contest, so I call him an 8 point. If we go by hanging the ring thingy on him, he is a 10 point. LOL
  21. Being a whitetail freak and never shot a bear before, I'd have to shoot the 275lb. stud. but if I had tags for both, that would be a no brainer.
  22. I would stick a Muzzy on that arrow in a heart beat, it doesn't take a lot of energy to penetrate especially witht that Trocar tip. the only mechanical that is designed for low KE is the Rage 40KE. My sons bow is set at 37 pounds with 25" draw length and is tipped with Muzzy's. I wouldn't worry about it. Personally, I've never seen mechanicals recommended for lower KE bows, they are always for faster shooting higher KE bows for the shear fact of the energy it takes to open the blades.
