  1. Very good tip Jim. I had a buck try to slip past behind me on 2 occasions. Both times, they were very close and almost down on their bellies, sneaking like you or I would, with their eyes turned right sideways, keeping me in view. The first one bolted as soon as our eyes met. The second one, was trying to sneak out from the other end of a log I had sat down on while I was waiting for my buddy to push bush. He crawled out from the bushes at the end of the log and snuck around and down in behind me over the hill. He was a nice 6 point blacktail, so I waited about 20 minutes, while listening to him move around in the thick stuff behind me. He went quiet and I thought maybe he had stuck off to my right. I knew there was a cut going down the hill about 25 yrds to my right along the hill and I would be able to see right down to the swamp (about 50 yrds). I slowly made my way over to the cut and was slowly making my way down towards the swamp, when he cut out of the thick stuff, from in behind where I was sitting on the log. He bolted right across in front of me, in the cut at 20 yrds. Perfect running shot with my shotgun, loaded with 000 buckshot. Good tip Jim-the-tip-man I'm guessing now, that the "T" after your name stands for "TIPS"......LOL ....
  2. Re: New stealth cam is out Good to see you have it resolved ....Can't wait to see some pics
  3. Re: Wrong leading a church? Pedophile's are attracted to children....does that make it OK ?? Rapest are attracted to women too....does that escuse their behavior ?? Serial killers get a kick out of killing...does that make it OK ??? Your attracted to girls, do you not still have to excersise some restraint on those feelings. Barn animals are attracted to fire in the barn ...is that a good thing ??? God made woman for man, not man for man. If you want to excuse sin and excuse, where the world is headed in accepting deviant sexual behavior, then...THAT...is your choice. We will all have to stand before our maker someday and be accountable for the decissions we have made. The decission I make (not all good ones mind you) I try to base on sound doctrine and sound principles that have been laid down for all of us, before we were born. "There is a way that seems right unto a man, but the way there of, leads to distruction"

    Tip Of The Week

Re: Tip Of The Week Another great tip Jim
  7. Re: Wrong leading a church? There is no sound scientific evidents that gays were born that way...none The only evidents they say they have is all phsycological scientific evidents. That doesn't hold much water when it comes to what's right and what's wrong. We are being lulled to sleep by todays world and what IT is willing to accept as GOOD or EVIL
  8. Re: looks like lung surgery Ditto ...trust in the Lord bud, no matter how things turn out. I'll be praying for healing.
  9. Re: Wrong leading a church? Apostasy: apostasia {ap-os-tas-ee'-ah} to forsake, falling away, a falling away, defection, apostasy feminine version of the word apostasion. The Apostasy/Great Falling Away is talking about a huge falling away from the truth or a departing from the faith. After this happens, the Antichrist is revealed and following that, the great gathering of the faithful to Christ will take place. So does this mean that many will just give up the faith and no longer profess Jesus as Lord, maybe. Perhaps it means that many of the truths that Jesus taught us, will be ignored, forgotten and replaced with man-made doctrines and doctrines of demons. After all if people ignore truth, then they are ignoring Jesus himself and the very principles of the Kingdom of God. Remember Jesus told us in Matthew 7:22-24 that many shall call him Lord, but Jesus will reject them because they never actually knew him. The difference is that many shall know about Jesus, but how many actually know Jesus ? One of the first things we need to do in order to know Jesus, is to believe in the words of Jesus and to believe the words that he spoke about himself and who he is. It would be contradictory to say that you know Jesus and yet ignore his words and not believe what he said about himself. "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasure's more than lovers of God, having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof; from such turn away." 2 Timothy 3:1-5. False Teachers - "For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them." Acts 20:29,30. Perversion of Scripture - "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts, shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." 2 Timothy 4:3,4. Resorting to Deception - "For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into a angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." 2 Cor.11:13-15. Reverting to Immorality - "Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls; a heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children; while they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption; for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. For if after they have escaped the pollution's of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, the dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire." 2 Peter 2:14, 19-22. God's Word - "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou has learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; and that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." 2 Timothy 3:13-17.
  10. Re: Stealth cam - HELP Don't those sensors have a sensativity dial on them, where you can turn the sensativity up or down, like the ones we have on our porches. It sounds like the sensativity is turned right down on it .....hope I'm right, so you can get it working.
  11. Re: Wrong leading a church? OK wis...Let me get this straight...so what your saying is it's OK for anyone (and I mean anyone} to be a paster, a minister, or a priest, with no special qualifications.....is that what your saying??? So I guess cross-dressers would be ok, child molesters should be OK too, since that's just their sexual preferrance...right.
  12. Re: Wrong leading a church? [ QUOTE ] And that is what some of you were . But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of thee Lord Jesus Christ and by the spirit of our God. [/ QUOTE ] I think were is the key word here, since that is what salvation is all about. Seems to me they have read an are in there to justify what they do, and read it as such...."And that is what some of you are . But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of thee Lord Jesus Christ and by the spirit of our God."....Therefore making a total mokery of what repentance means. Repentance does not just mean admitting what you've done or are doing, but being willing to turn away from it. If your not willing to turn away, then you are not very repentive are you ? There are plenty of verses that talk about using Gods Grace through Jesus Christ as an excuse to sin.
  13. Re: Wrong leading a church? The key word here is "practicing" homosexual. It is possible for a reformed (repentive, non-practicing, reformed homosexual) to be a paster or priest, but no way a practicing homosexual. What is happening in some of the mainline churches today is a prophecy about the last days coming true. This is the apostacy written about in the old testiment as well as the new, telling about how, in the last days, before our Lord returns, many will fall away from "Gods truth" One of the qualification to be a pastor or any church leader is that they should be "beyond reproach" Being a practicing homosexual is far, far from being beyond reproach...unless of course you change the truth that is found in Gods word, and rewrite it or redefine it to suit yourself and the times. Practicing homsexuallity is a sin that leads to death. God destroyed cities in the past because of it. If there is no repentance, how can there be any salvation ???
  14. Re: Hey TR Admin what are the odds-site hunt That's buckee, with 2 EE's ehh snapper.....lol I'm pretty sure I had my name written all over that treestand ...could be wrong though. It does sound like someone that we all know won though, and that is good news.
  15. Re: Camo! what\'s your perfered choice? I've always been a Realtree fan. Being an artist myself, I look at their camo as a work of art. The best in the country. The new HD looks great, but it will be a few years before it ever surfaces up in this neck of the woods. I've been seeing bits and pieces like gloves and hats in HD, but no clothing yet to speak of.

    This is sorry

Re: This is sorry Sorry you folks are going through all of this. All you can do is continue to pray, Do what you can, when you can , and let the Lord handle the rest. My heart goes out to you all.
  19. Re: Broadhead for Black Bear Go with a good fixed blade (not retractable blades) and make sure their sharp. A good tip Jim (you probably already know) is to wait till that front leg is forward, before taking your shot. Those leg bones and shoulders on a bear are tough.

    maybe 3 more or

Maybe the fawns, being kids themselves, were attracted to the joyful sounds of the kids playing...just never know. Pretty nice seeing them when they're so young. I saw 2 fawns cross the road in front of my truck the other day, while eating my lunch. It's always a welcome sight, for sure.
  23. I got a nice buck once on the last day of the season, during the last hour of the season, while on the way back to the house after hunting all day with my brother. He was no more than 200 yrds from the house.
  24. Re: Tip of The Week I get the ol buck fever after I make my shot. I can hold it al together until the shot is made, but then I fall apart...LOL A couple of years ago, I made a shot on a nice 4x4 while he was sparing with a 3x2, right under me almost. I missed and shot right under him. He backed up and ran 10 yrds and stood there, under an over hanging branch for what seemed an eternity. It took everything I had to pull myself together again and make the secnd, successful shot. The second part of your tip is a doozy, and really hard to do at times, but definately worth it. Good tip Jim
  25. Ol' Jim-the-tip-man .....Another good one !
