  1. These have been sold. Been a good day.....3 for 3.... hangunnr
  2. This pair was used on a Vari-X III 8.5X25X50. I would assume they'd fit other 50mm Leupold scopes. Looking for $60 shipped ConUS for the pair. hangunnr
  3. I bought it cut down. I used it as a handgun. It was just time to thin the herd around here. I have other projects in mind.... hangunnr
  4. Barrel is SOLD. Sheesh, that was quick. Thanks for looking. hangunnr
  5. 7mm Mag barrel for the Encore platform. Barrel was a rifle length cut down and the brake added. Work was performed by OTT. OAL is 19". Black synthetic rifle length forend and scope base are included. $300 shipped ConUS hangunnr
  6. RL15, 155 Scenar Kiss, find pressure and rock on. If a typical Rem throat, seat to mag box restraints. hangunnr
  7. Did you locate a tube? I've got a used XXX-full CnC Rem tube that I'd let go for $30 shipped. hangunnr
  8. Don't know how I missed this. I'll take the Super ammo off your hands if you still have it. Are you needing something that would work as trade fodder? hangunnr
  9. Let's see, I drive a 2500HD and have a pet bunny....... So, what are you getting at here...LMAO hangunnr
  10. I wanna go Emu hunting. http://www.wusa9.com/video/default.aspx?aid=97785&storyid=129383#/Hunter+Shot+Loose+Emu+On+Private+Field+/740882081001 "....and we gonna eat it up good..." LMFAO hangunnr
  11. I've never heard of anyone reloading the steel cased stuff. I'd suggest trying some of the Blackhills blue or red box ammo. I've shot both and IMO it's pretty consistent. Last I knew there was a 300yd range at Winamac and for sure there is a 225yd range at JP. I haven't been to the range at Winamac in 20yrs so things may have changed. hangunnr
  12. Other than my 22's and my carry guns all my ammo is handloaded. I either use CorBon or Winchester SXT in my carry guns. hangunnr
  13. The steel case expands just fine. The initial horror stories about the Ruskie steel cased ammo was the lacquer on the cases gumming up the chamber area causing mis feeds and poor extraction in the semi autos. Steve, If you want to try some of the Wolf steel cased 223 in your new rifle I've got a partial case of it and you're welcome to some of it. It dosen't shoot worth a crap outa my AR. Drop me a PM with your number, I'd like to talk with you about yote hunting. CR
  14. Would depend on what reticle I was going to use. When going MIL adjustment with a MIL reticle you're eliminating one mathematical conversion in the ranging process. If it were a standard duplex it dosen't matter, either would suffice. hangunnr
  15. Wow, the first time it was ever hit with a non mag? hangunnr
  16. I've seen him shoot.......I wouldn't bet on it..... hangunnr
  17. I don't believe I've ever come across one of the adapters you're speaking of . Nothing wrong with a scout type mount. You may be able to utilize a handgun scope which will give you the option of a variable magnification scope. In reference to an earlier statement about the Copper Solids changing or something of that order. They did change the bullet design from an almost cylindrical shape with 2 cross slots cut across a hollow cavity producing 4 petals to a more conventional bullet shape with 6 petals. I don't remember exactly when that change was made though. Reading between the lines may indicate somewhere around 1999. hangunnr
  18. A little info on Hastings. http://www.hastingsbarrels.com/ It looks like some are still available. CR
  19. After a little google-fu I found out the caution about the Copper Solid ammo was for ammo produced prior to 1999. Current production ammo is OK to use. FWIW.... hangunnr
  20. Steve, PM sent. Here's the slug from this year. Remington Copper Solid. 100% weight retention and picture book expansion. Hard to beat performance like that. Charlie
  21. Buddy brought his Remington 1187 slug gun over to me to work on because he's having trigger issues. Pulled the gun apart and found this tag on the Hastings barrel. Wonder how many left the factory with one of these? hangunnr
  22. Hey Steve how ya been? Long time no see. Came out of the farm I have in Marshall Co. CR
  23. Busted this feller whilst he was trying to slip into some heavy cover this morning. Tipped the scales at 180 dressed. There are 12 scoreable points.... Sorry for the inferior images. My camera man this morning was having issues understanding point and shoot... hangunnr
  24. Picked up a S&W 329PD .44mag. Added a JPoint sight and mount. Had a moment of weakness and just couldn't pass on this one. I guess the .223AI build will have to wait. I've been wanting one for a looong time. It's a handful with full power loads. .....and if yer wondering what one of these weigh.....not much..... 26.2oz all up... Just got the dot sight mounted today. I've got a 200gr XTP load that showed promise with the irons, should shine with the dot sight. hangunnr
  25. Haven't had the chance to shoot it yet, maybe this weekend. hangunnr
