Ok, I just thought I'd throw this question out there, not really concerned. You all know about my new Hoyt Rintec XL I got this year. I've noticed that if it is sitting around awhile and then if I go shoot my bow, there is a small creak when I pull back the first time, then nothing after that at all unless it sits around. I don't know exactly wherei t comes from, must be the limbs when they bend??? Is this just because it is sitting around or could it be something else? I haven't had any problems with the bow, it continues to amaze me,lol I just wanted to ask though, see if anyone else has the same thing with their bow maybe?

Well just got this bow end of September, few weeks before archery season started and it is one heck of a bow! took 2 deer with this archery season - buck and doe) 06' Hoyt Rintec XL 46lb. DW 26" DL Nap Quicktune 1000 rest Truball cyclone release TruGlo 3 pin Brite Sight Beman ICS 500 arrows with 125 grain Thunderheads Alpine Soft Loc 5 arrow quiver Have a Limbsaver Mini S coil stabilizer to put on and some insulator strips for the grip, and will change from 125 grain to 100 grain Thunderheads for next season. Andy and I think the 125 grain are a little heavy for the arrow but it shoots well anyway!

Re: fingers or release? I shoot a Truball Cyclone release, got it this year to use on my new bow, and I love it! I think back when I first started shooting a bow, I used fingers for a little bit, but had a release when I started hunting.

Re: Finally, after a green Christmas Yeah, suppose to have gotten some last night but didn't. It is snowing a little here but doesn't look like enough to accumulate.

Re: Should I press charges? Yeah, I wouldn't necessarily press charges but maybe talk to the dog owner - ask him to contribute to vet bills or something if the dog is pregnant...and tell him to keep is dog tied up.

Re: Mother of all Christmas gifts.... Oh wow, that is awesome buddy! I'm happy for you!!!! I bet the days are going to go by so slow,lol! Some day my dream hunt will come true, maybe,lol. I want to go deer hunting up in Sasketchewan or somewhere in Canada with BIG bucks. Wow, that is great Swampy! I definitely wish all the luck to you when you go!

I don't know about the rest of you but now that deer season is over in NY, I can't wait for the shed hunting to start! There is a new spot I can't wait to check over on some state land - apples and briars and pines all together - the deer sign when I was over there before is awesome! Some bucks have got to shed in there! Then of course it would be neat to see if I can find sheds from that big buck I found a shed from this past spring, if he's still alive. To me finding a shed is almost as heart pumping as arrowing a buck I am wondering though, with the somewhat mild weather we've had in the northeast, is this going to cause bucks to shed later than normal or not really? We usually have a ton of snow and can't really look till March but who knows, maybe I'll find em' early this year

Re: what type of bow??? Hoyts are great bows! Reflex bows are also good, haven't shot one but they are made by Hoyt - are older Hoyt models-and are a little lower priced.

Re: im sorry everyone Not a dumb question at all:) I got a new kitten last Weds.,lol. Ummm got a new flashlight, some flies and a fly case, flannel pants for sleeping in, some bath stuff, chocolate, ummm and some other random things I can't remember.

We didn't do too much being that my sister's car accident caused us to buy a new car, then a new microwave since I killed the one but mainly a new TV for all of us. I did get a flashlight, some bath stuff, Andy got me some flies and a fly box. Some candy, a few other random things but my biggest present was my new kitty, Nemo. Mom got him free from the Amish last Wednesday. Of course there is the cat food and his eyes are watery so some vet stuff like that but he's worth it:)

Re: A Rare Sight In N.N.Y. Whoa that's one bad looking machine,lol! It's Christmas morning and no snow here, yet. They are talking about all rain turning to snow later and depending and where it goes, could besome heavy snow for some of us:)

Re: a early christmas present Aaaw how cute! My mom got me a new kitten last Wednesday since I had to put my cat down last month. His name is Nemo and he is a sweety. I'll get some photos to put up sometime. Congrats on the puppy:)

Re: Anyone Own a Log home? My family lives in a log home. They stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter - hat is what we were told/researched, and from personal experience. not too mention log homes are beautiful!
