Re: I am alive!!!! Glad to hear you are still around buddy! Keep your head up and have fun in the new chair!

Re: Priorities Yeah yeah...know the feeling. It's hunting season and I have to ask mom or my sister to feed the horses if I get in late, if it's my week to do the laundry, well I try to keep up with it, but easier said than done....

Re: Christmas Exchange Gifts I'd say is was successful also and I noticed it seems like no one got jipped either. I think previous exchanges we had some that never sent gifts or got in contact with their partner. Is this the 3rd year of doing this?

Re: Has anybody seen..... Nice mount outdoorgirl! Something that not everyone has...but I don't think I want one,lol

Re: Ok, I Give In! Getting The Bow Out Tomorrow!!! Good luck! It sure doesn't seem right that NY's deer season is SO SHORT compared to places like PA.....I wish NY had a longer season but oh well....a longer early archery would be nice.

Re: D-loops... Yeah, I just realised that switching from a metal nock to loop probably wouldn't affect my arrow length much because the metal nock is already about the same length as the loop would be. So do you guys think I could get another shop to put a loop on without a problem since the one I go to normally and got my bow from is all but shut down when it isn't archery season...

Re: Early drop season? Wow...I'd say if they are finding that many sheds already ready and seeing half racked bucks, should be a good chance many will have shed by February.

Re: D-loops... Hmmm didn't think of it affecting my arrow length which it could if I switched....

So I've been thinking about switching from the metal ultra-nok xl loop I have on my new bow to a D-loop and I was wondering what are the pro's/cons of a D-loop? Should I switch to a D-loop? The bow shop where I got my bow isn't really open now so I was thinking of going to another nearby shop and have them put a loop on for me - they should if I ask wouldn't they? I notice on the metal loop it starts to get a worn grove in it and I don't think that would be a good think for my release or my consistency... How much would my bow be affected by switching from a metal nock to a string loop? Alot, a little..is it going to mess up my sights a bit? Just wanted to ask to get all the skinny on them. Thanks!

Not sure how many of you get the NY Outdoor News but I do and I'm sending in a photo of my 06' archery buck - same photo I posted on here - for the Best Buck Contest. I figured hey, might as well, besides I haven't seen any other woman on the front page yet, lol. So if you get the outdoor news, keep an eye out,lol

Re: Which bow to pick situation..... Hard decision...if it was me I'd probably go with the Bowtech because it is a little cheaper and I've seen their bows....pretty sweet! And it sounds like the dealer is pretty decent...Whatever you decide I think you'll be happy!

Re: When buying a bow, what do you look into? Well I've only bought one bow, the other one was bought for me, and old used Hoyt. My Hoyt I bought in October, while I was looking at other bows, I was looking for something somewhat lightweight, correct draw length, comfort and then I guess what others have said about the bow.

Re: I have to vent... I know in due time it will. I'm sure if I was one to venture out into the real world and go live somewhere with more job opportunities, I'd be better off, but I am a homebody, I love being at home, though there are sometimes I wish the opposite, lol, and I'm just not ready to fly the roost I guess. Would rather stick around home, helping my mom and commute to a job or a college with a Master's program

Re: No...School Enjpy school while you can! I know coming bacl after breaks is tough, but it's more tough when you're graduated to find a job in the real world or like me when you don't know what you really want to do and what you do know you want to do...you can't afford.

Oh my gosh, I have been so frustrated lately....I need a vacation...a real one. First of all I still don't know what I or God wants to do with my life. I've got my outdoor ed. degree but jobs are kind of seasonal and limted in the area, just don't want to move out of the area. My true passion lies in the medical field, preferably athletic training but I won't be able to get any fed. aid for another B.S. degree so I have to find an entry level Master's in athletic training if there is any hope. It's so hard and confusing and I havn't heard an answer from God yet....I just don't know Second of all, working custodial as a replacement supervisor is not a bad job, it's off and on, but the more people I talk to and see, knowing what they want to do, well it makes me feel, I dunno...like I have a lame job right now. This past week I had a student worked argue and disrespect me...I talked to the supervisor todat, they just got back from vacation, I didn't know this then or I would have done it, that I have the authority if she did it again to tell her to clock out and go home. This girl has been a royal pain in the butt....So I had to deal with that today and a supervisor was going to talk to her, without mentioning names but I'm sure at some point I'll see her and she won't be happy, lol, but too bad, you don't mouth off and tell your supervisor to do something that is part of your job. Maybe the lack of sleep I had last night doesn't help either....couldn't get to sleep then when I did was woken up by the dog barking at quarter to 5am, got up and walked him, went back to bed for an hour before getting up to work. So I'm going to go to bed now but I'll just ask you think of me in your prayers that God will direct me and that I can put more faith in Him and hear what His answer might be...could be it's patience...

Re: Hoyt Shooters I need some feed back I bought a Hoyt Rintec XL back in the beginning of October. It's made for short draw people such as women and I love it! Quiet when drawing and shooting. Can't go wrong with Hoyt.

Re: My kinda New Years weather!!! It wasn't too bad here...some sun, mostly heavy clouds and a breeze....Now if the sun had stayed out it would have been gorgeous but the weather people are saying it's going to be nicer later this week...I'll believe it when I see it,lol
