Re: Your toes Huntin_girl and anyone thinking the second toe should be longer, you're wrong, lmbo! From being an Athletic Training minor, I've learned it is more normal for your first toe to be longer, so you should have the stair pattern, of bigger to smaller lol. There is actually a name for when the second toe is longer than the first toe but I can't remember it. It isn't bad to have a longer second toe, but for some people, it may mean minor foot problems because weight is distributed differently. When walking, weight is distrubted mainly through your "big toe". It's normal to have a shorter second toe:-)

Re: ***A Joke 4 The Ladies*** Does it say anywhere in the Bible that women are made for housework? lol I'm a Recreaton major and we learn alot about gender stereotypes and traditional vs. non-traditional roles...

Re: Steelhead success! (photo) Ha ha Tominator. That's actually my sister's dog sneakin' in the photo. Yeah, it's called Cattaragus Creek and empties into Erie, maybe through other tributaries. Actually some guy from Buffalo killed some guy and dumped his body in the creek above the dam awhile back; kinda freaky, lol

Re: Squirrel Contest Pictures Thanks Tominator:-)!

Just wondering if anyone knows of any outdoor recreation or maybe hunting/fishing related conferences/seminars that may be occuring in NY state? For my Senior Seminar in Recreation, we have to attend some type of related conference and I haven't found anything yet so I'm looking for ideas. Thanks!

Re: never seen anything like this before That is cool! In the late summer I was out hiking in the woods and had 2 baby red squirrels come out of a tree and they just played around me and were not afraid. I got some photos, they were so cute!

Re: mounting sheds If you mean a wood base like for skull mounts, then try Gander Mountain or Cabela's or Basspro. Let me know how you do because I have a nice pair of sheds I'd like to mount but I've never figured out a way to do so.

Re: Squirrel Contest Pictures Team 5 is on the board finally! I got this one with the .22 yesterday for me and Buddyahart:-) I was so excited when I got this squirrel yesterday, lol! The tail measured 11.75" at the tip of the white hairs; not too shabby!

Re: Did something I didn\'t want to Thanks guys. It isn't illegal to shoot Red's; they have the same season here as Gray's; I just didn't like shooting something I didn't intend to, especially since nothing much was left of it afterwards; but as you said, it happens. No one is perfect (except God).

Well I got home from class at noon on Thursday, the weather was 50 degrees and beautiful. I got my fishing stuff and drove 45 minutes to a large creek that runs into Lake Erie that the steelhead run up and get stopped by a dam. I was fishing right below this dam, water was a little high and muddy from rain the night before, but after about 45 minutes, hooked onto my second largest steelhead ever, he's probably the widest one I've caught He weighed in at 9 pounds, measured 28" in length with a 16" girth; that's a wide fish! It is such a blast to bring in one of these big guys Oh, I caught him on an egg sack. We make our own using the eggs from female steelhead that we catch. Enjoy the photo. Oh, by the way that is a Team Realtree hat I'm wearing

And I feel bad about it so no one get on my case. I went out squirrel hunting with the .22 yesterday, in hopes of getting on the board in the contest. I saw a grey squirrel but missed. I was standing there waiting and turned to my right to see a squirrel hop into a hemlock. Because it wasn't close and due to the sun, it was sillouetted, it looked like a grey. I shot twice and it fell to the ground. I heard a grey squirrel start barking so I went to find it, never did. I returned to find I did not shoot a grey but a red squirrel and it was still alive. I quickly finished it off and figured I try to salvage it because I do not want to waste one of God's creatures I did not intend to kill. Well After a shot in the hind legs and one in the head, there was nothing to really salvage. I did the proper thing though and buried it and said a prayer. I feel so bad I did that but I learned don't shoot any squirrels unless I am 100% sure it is a grey. You would think me, having been hunting for 8 going on 9 years, I wouldn't make such a mistake, ugh

Re: Did someone say Turkey Season???? Hmm...I've seen the slick-sticks and thought about getting one before....I've just got to decide if I want one...

I will be done with classes at 2:05pm today and I'm going to go steelhead fishing, the weather is in the 50s, it is awesome! I do have to drive like 45 minutes to get to the spot and my mom will probably drop me off and go to the thrift store; Andy may come if he gets out of work early. I hope those fish are biting! The leeks(wild onions) are even up just barely under the leaves in the woods and they go great with fresh fish, yum yum! I'll let you all know how I do

And I didn't get any new injuries, lol We had an intramural basketball game last night, against a team that had never played b-ball before, and while we weren't all that hot, we still played alot better than the two previous games. We only had 5 people, compared to the other team's like 10 people, but everyone on my team scored at least once, my friend Angie I think had like 15 points, I had 10, and everyone else chipped in a few. The highlight of the game, this is what my teammates called it, was when I made a break down court and I hear my name. I turn just in time to get hit in the head with the ball, I grabbed the ball off the flour, take it down the court and make a lay up, now that was funny We really had alot of fun in the game and the final score, in our favor for once, was 32-11 We play the jv soccer team on Thursday which should be a whole other game

Well friends, I start my last semester at Houghton College tomorrow, with an 8am class. I have to say I'd prefer another week off, lol. I think once graduation comes around, May 13, I'll be excited, maybe, but I'm trying to decide if I want to go on to another college next fall for a degree in Athletic Training then once I get the degree, take the big exam to become a certified Athletic Trainer. Decisions, decisions, but as my mom says leave it to the Lord. The classes I'm taking this semester are: Senior Seminar in Recreation Conservation Biology Psychosocial Aspects of PhysEd. and Sport Natural Resource Management Initiatives Book of Job Recreation Internship which I will officially do in the summer but the planning will occur during this semester. Gosh, I hope i didn't take on too much.

Re: Need help with AIM I know about AIM Express, but when I load it, my buddy list comesu p then AIM disconnects after about 30 seconds... why I dunno. I'm going to install Java though as maybe that will helps because I don't believe we have it on since re-doing the computer

Ok, we had to total wipe our computer and reload everything a few weeks ago, so I've been trying to relod AOL Instant Messenger on the computer, we had it before. I don't know if it is our computer or AOL but the new download is AIM Triton and when I try to download, a box comes up saying something like Error: the sotware (or something) is corrupt or something, and stuff like that. Is anyone having a problem and have any suggestions how to get AIM back on here? I can't even use AIM Express, when I do, it loads really slow then kicks me off after like 30 seconds. What the heck is going on? I was getting on AIM fine when we had on our computer before re-loading it. HELP!
