  1. Re: Don\'t think I\'m stupid.... BUT!!!! Thoughtful wife I'd say; not too mention you're not stupid, you just weren't decisive. Hmmm....kind of tough to tell you what to do, I know I could use a new gun, lol!
  2. Re: It\'s good to be back. Welcome back! Gotta love technology, lol
  3. Re: What I did New Years Day ...... That looked like a blast! Sounds like alot of people had a great time!
  4. Re: Fellow NY\'s - Do you favor antler restrictions I think antler restriction should be more of a personal choice than an actual law. Some of us chose to shoot certain bucks, some of us would rather have the meat, it is all personal preference, it's that easy, lol.
  5. Re: OH man what a night last night...I want my bed! My family and I all went to bed shortly after 11pm,lol. We'll cook alot of food today, I'll go try to kill some squirrels, lol
  6. Ok, so I went to bed before midnight, lol, but at least I got sleep. O hope God blesses each and everyone one of you in some way this new year, and you are already looking forward to the new hunting season It was a great 2005 year on Realtree and I'm looking forward to many more fun years on here, maybe 2006 I can add another 1,000 posts, the slow poster that I am
  7. Re: My plans for today....busted Well we loaded about 200 bales into the wagon, the farmer drove over, and we unloaded 200 bales into the barn, lol, ugh! We paid $1.75 a bale, which in the summer I think we paid $1.25 or $1.50 a bale but that was right off the wagon from being baled.
  8. Re: ***It a baby GIRL******* Big congrats to you and your wife Darton! That's quite the armload of kids there, lol. Looks like Emelia is going to have some fun with 4 brothers; do I sense some competion in the hunting woods in the future, lol?
  9. Re: Ice fishing sucess pics. Wow, nice catch! The meat in those fish is beautiful! When I was in the Adirondacks this summer, I was fishing a lake that had landlocked salmon and lake trout in it. I was hoping for a lake trout but no luck but I did catch two landlocked salmon and froze them until I got home to share with the family. They were the best fish ever and the flesh looked almost as orange as your fish!
  10. So I have today off from custodial. I was hopingm aybe andy and I would go steelhead fishing, seeing that he has been off all week, and went fishing, and I helped him make egg sacks, but no! We have to get hay today for our horses, at 1:30pm which means go and load it then come back and unload which will take a few hours. My optional plan incase Andy was too lazy to go fishing, was to go hunting myself, but that probably won't happen with the hay. Arrgh, some vacation. I'll probably end up working Monday just because at least I have friends working custodial and that is more fun then sitting home being annoyed by Andy. and I've said this before but if some of you don't know, Andy isn't my real dad, we never knew our real dad. He is more of a family friend/not so good fatherly figure who at least is the reason why we have a house. But anyway, I know I sound like I'm complaining but I had to vent because obviously I am annoyed!
  11. Re: Deer Hunter 2005 (the 2005 season) Wish I could find that game in the stores; Walmart use to have it but no more where I live. May have to order it online so I can play with Buckee, lol
  12. Re: Congrats to Mr./ Mrs.Travis Turner (aka T-bone ) Congrats to both of you!!!
  13. Anyone on here have this game? What do you think of it? I just got it for Christmas and have played it a few times. I like it, but I think the Deer Hunter games are better, we just can't find Deer Hunter the 2005 Season anywhere! If any of you have this game, do you know how to exit the shooting ranges in the career mode because I can't figure it out, and it says to push these buttons for sighting in the gun but it doesn't seem to work, I dunno It's fun though, I got my SUV stuck between a boulder and tree, flipped my ATV, and almost drowned in the creek, lmbo, sound familiar?
  14. Ok, I didn't know how else to title this post, but I just wanted to vent. Last night Andy went out to get the mail and told me I had mail. I get up to get my mail and there is a card there from Elizabeth, I'm sure you all remember that ordeal, ugh.... Well I planned to just toss it because I wanted nothing to do with it but I opened it out of curiosity. Well she wrote a letter, but all I read was that she was an Aunt, lol, and I threw it in the trash. In my mind I'm thinking why in the world did she send this, some guts she has, and mom is going to flip. I threw it in the trash, told mom what I got, and went to bed. I had this feeling though, because mom literally hates this girl, that she would probably go through the trash, find the card and burn it or something. When I got up this morning, I glanced in the trash and it wasn't there so I have a feeling she tossed it in the stove. It annoys me somewhat that she would burn my mail, but what am I gonna do; I just have the verse going through my head "Children obey your parents". I feel a little confused/weird about mom doing this to my mail, I wish she wouldn't make it such a big deal and leave things alone. I'm afraid my mom is thinking I contacted her which is why she sent me a card, and mom told me long ago never ever contact her, which I've obeyed her, but I don't think she trusts me, I dunno. I give the girl credit to trying to contact me, but I've put it in the past and am not making any attempt to contact her, or my mom would kill me after she yelled at me,lol (seriously) Anyway I just wanted to vent to some of the people on here that I can call friends. I'm on break right now at custodial, ugh, clean clean clean.
  15. I'm planning to go out this afternoon with the .22 after some squirrels and I'm looking for some suggestions as to how to hunt the squirrels. I never seem to have as much luck in the winter as in the fall. It has been snowing off and on, in the upper 30s I think. I usually see the tracks but never the squirrels and I'm thinking of just sitting near hemlocks where I usually see them, for a half hour or so at a time then moving. Any tips?
  16. Ok, I was out hunting for rabbits/squirrel/grouse Friday afternoon. I hiked into this one spot where some Blue Spruce, White Spruce, and Balsam Fir had been planted, probably a long time ago, maybe an old farm had been there. Anyway there is a ton of briars grwing there and it is a good rabbit spot, though I didn't see any tracks. Well the big thing is, I was walking along the outside of this patch of pines/briars and what do I see? Two Balsam Fir, there trunks wider around than my hip, with BIG RUBS on them! I got so excited and I had my camera so I took a photo. Those are the biggest rubs I've ever seen. I'm hoping whatever buck made them made it through the season so I can find his sheds.
  17. Re: My grades this semester.... Thanks everyone! I missed some good hunting days for those grades, lol!
  18. Re: My grades this semester.... Mick and Squirrelhunter: Kinesiology is basically the study of how the muscles/joints of the body work aka how the body moves: you learn stuff such as what motions muscles and joints do (flexion/extension for example), how muscles interact with joints, forces acting on the body, and some other physics stuff dealing with the human body.
  19. Well I looked up my grades for this semester I just finished at college. Only one more semester to go I guess I'm pleased with my grades, thought I was preferring to not get a C,lol Local Flora and Vegetation = A- Methods/Materials of Camps/Env.Education = A- Program Planning/Evaluation = B+ Kinesiology = B Env. Earth Science = C+ Semester GPA = 3.2
  20. Re: So what did you get for Christmas!!! The greatest gift of all....Christ's birth many years ago:-) And the many blessings HE has provided us. On the earthly side of things I got Cabela's Deer Hunt 2005 (no one could find Deer Hunter The 2005 Season anywhere!), a new Shimano spincasting reel, some socks, a Primos t-shirt, a blaze orange vest, some bath stuff, a small multitool, 2 hunting releated books, and a few other things I can't remember.

    NY hunters

Re: NY hunters About the same for me bigbucks125. Got a deer with bow and saw a really nice buck 3 times during bow season, once right under my stand, but gun season, the bucks disappeared. I did get a deer with shotgun but it was hard hunting....there should be some nice sheds to pick-up in the spring:)
  23. Re: Fellow NY\'s - Do you favor antler restrictions I know my season was successful, but if antler restrictions were put in place in my county, I would not be able to shoot just any buck that came by my stand, meaning I'd have to wait for a "legal" buck to come by and if it never came by, well then I'd never fill a tag, and to us any deer is a blessing and well needed:) Sure I'd like a to see bigger bucks, but it would cost some of us hunters in other ways.....
  24. Re: Christmas Exchange Thank You\'s Thank you hunting_girl for the 3 adorable ornaments, the "R" key chain, and the Florida T-shirt! I will enjoy wearing it, and the ornaments make a great addition to my outdoor/deer ornament collection!:-) My mom even thought they were cute, lol!
  25. Re: Best NY deer magazine?? New York Sportsman no longer exists..I used to get it. There is New York Game & Fish which mostly tells you of various locations in NY state for hunting and fishing.
