The NY season opens next Tuesday (May 1st) so last weekend my father and I went out and set up our blinds. Yesterday morning he gave me a call at work and told me there were 13 turkey out in the field. Hopefully they will hang around the area for a couple days.

Looks like I lost 25-30 posts...

Re: Jeep Cherokee\'s? I had a '99 Cherokee from '99-'02. During that time i put ~65k miles on it and the only problem I had was with a wheel barring. And I think that was from to many doughnuts in the mud... I traded it in a pickup but there is not a day that I don't wish I still had it.

Re: Does anyone here use Netflix? We just signed up for Netflix a couple weeks ago. My only complaint so far was the first movie we received did not play and we had to return it. However for the inconvenience Netflix extended our free trial by 14 days.

Re: Team 3 Hey everyone... Just thought I would check in as I have not been on in a while. I shot a doe on 11/22. However with the warm spell (70 degrees) we had here in New York last week I completely forgot to take a picture before I immediately butchered the doe. I could take a picture of the tag and post that if you all think that would be enough. Otherwise hopefully I will get a shot at another one before the end of the season.

Re: Team 3 Hey Guy... Sorry I have not checked in a while I have been really busy at work. My bow season has been pretty good so far. I have seen a lot of bucks just have not connected with one. Saturday is the opening of gun season here in western New York so hopefully my luck will change.

Re: Primos Buck Roar I recently purchased this call and had the opportunity to try it for the first time last night. I would have to agree with the others that I have never heard the 'roar' in the woods. However, the call does also create a great 'grunt'. This is what I see me using it the most for. Last night I had a buck hang up just out of sight on some thick brush. I could hear him grunt a few times so I thought I would give it a try. Let me tell you that brought him right in to 10 yard to investigate. While he was there I also tried the snort wheeze, this got a reaction like I had never seen before. He was pacing back and forth looking for the other buck. I was really quite neat.

Re: Team 3 I just thought I would check in and let everyone know how opening weekend here in NY went for me. It was a little slow I only saw 3 deer all weekend. Saturday morning I had opportunities on a button buck and a 3 point but passed on both. Sunday morning I had an opportunity on a 7 point but once again passed. I am holding out for one of the big bucks we caught with our trail camera over the last month. There is still quite a bit of corn standing so I believe the deer are in there. Hopefully it will come down soon and push the deer back into the woods.
