had a nice 10pt at 40 yards Saturday evening but did not have a clear shot. He was chasing does all around me. Will be back after him Saturday. I was watching football yesterday and looked out the back door to see a deer leaving my food plot and coming towards the house. Got the binos on him and freaked! It was about a 20" wide 8pt. I haven't seen him at all this year. I'll be hunting him hard this week after work. Hope he makes another showing! He's a dandy buck. Too bad we can't hunt on Sunday's here in VA. :bummed:

Saw some small bucks Saturday morning but no shooters. Almost got a shot at a doe Friday but she wouldn't turn enough for a shot. Going to be warm here the next couple days so hopefully I'll get out later this week.

Congratulations Fly! I've seen some fawns and past a couple spikes. Had a close call with a big nanny Saturday but she stayed in the thick stuff and never gave me a shot. Going to be warm here this week too so may only get out once before Saturday. I'm getting pics of a decent 8pt behind my house in the oats but they are all night pics. Best I can tell he's just a 2 year old. Wish I could get a good day time pic to confirm. I'm getting an itchy trigger finger! Ready to let an arrow fly!

We are going to have some cooler temps too. Opening day is Saturday. Can't wait to get this party started!

BuckNrut, there is a film crew shooting a movie at my club right now too. They won't be done until the end of October. Going to have to hunt around them. LOL Got 2 small food plots in behind the house last week. Oats are starting to come up good and we just got a good rain last night. First time I've tried oats so hopefully they will come to it. Mixed in some alfalfa as well. If this works I will plant a bigger field in it next year. Taking my son hunting Saturday for Youth season. Then our bow opener is next Saturday. Can't wait!

My team looks too good to be true. I'm sure they will all be on IR in a couple weeks!

Wuz up peeps! Sorry I'm late checking in... been a little busy around here lately. My season starts Oct 1st. I'm hunting a new club this year. We have 12 members and 3,500 acres to hunt. Plenty of deer on the property so a doe should be a slam dunk. They try to only shoot the bigger bucks so we will see how that goes. I have one good 8pt on the 70 acres behind my house that my dad owns. Hope he sticks around for a while but I haven't seen him in a couple weeks now. I have a couple other good places to hunt too so I'm pretty pumped for the year! Can't wait to start climbing trees! I like the name Tagged Out! If I get tagged out here in VA I'll have 3 bucks and 3 does on the ground. That would be a pretty good season! lol We get 75 doe tags at the club too so I can should as many as I want this year. That's what they get paid to do. It's sad but true. Most of the media could care less who they hurt or lives they destroy. They need to make a name for themselves as a reporter and bringing down a big name coach like Tressel helps them big time. Ruthless! I feel sorry for the guy. Not a fan what so ever but he seems like a decent person. It's a shame we live in such a corrupt society now. It's all about money and fame and people will cut each others throat to get it! I started getting more into college sports than pro because it was pure and not so much about the money... what a fool I was to think that.

Will it last though? They look good right now and I'm glad I have Asdrubal Cabrera on my fantasy team right now.

I think Colin is a JA but I do listen to him. I used to like Rome but not as much anymore. I can't stand Dan Patrick. Listening to him talk makes me want to vomit!

I think UConn but since VCU is in my home town I hope they win it all! Peeps around here are going crazy that they are in the Final 4!

It's a shame but it is happening all over college sports. It's just that Tressel got caught covering up something. The whole thing is corrupt and it's all about the $$$. Money is the root of all evil and is in the case of college sports too. If the NCAA really wanted to clean up the sport I bet 75% of the schools would be on probation for something right now. Because of all the big money and free agency in pro sports I've lost a lot of interest and don't watch much of any of it now. With the way college sports are and kids leaving early for the pros... I don't really watch or keep up with it as much either. It's sad really!
