Fished a bass tournament Saturday with a buddy of mine. It was 22 degrees when we blasted off and got up to 37 for the high. Had some issue with the boat being frozen but made the best of it. We finished second in the tournament (only 10 teams) with 3 fish that weighed 10.84 lbs. I caught one nice one that weighed 5.43 pounds. Caught that one and another on a Lucky Craft jerkbait and my buddy caught one on a swimbait. The team that finished first had 2- 6 lbers and had 5 that went 21+ lbs. Incredible under the conditions. Just to prove bass will bite when it's cold... pic below!

Congrats KT! Way to put one down. I shot one on Friday that made it to my dad and he finished it off. Was a crazy looking 6pt. The left spike measured 20" long. It's an old deer at least 4 1/2 but he could be older than that. We pulled the jawbone and are going to find out from the Game Dept. how old he is.

At least the Cowboys moved up 7 spots after beating the G-men! I would put the Pats on top and the Jets 3. Giants are little high. Don't think they are really that good. This is the year that any team can beat any team (except the Panthers really suck!).

They played a good game but I don't know if you can give all the credit to Garrett for the win. We'll give it a few more games to see how they play. Was good to see them finally play to their potential for once. Hope they can keep it going!!

Congratulations Mike! I can't see the pics either but as long as we got the points that's cool! Keep at it guys. It's getting prime time. Big bucks are being seen and starting to fall around here. Just waiting on my turn. I found a sick scrape line at my club Sat. and plan to hunt it tomorrow with a NW wind. Hope I find out who's making the scrapes!

I'm a Yankees fan but I don't see them pulling this one out. I'm also shocked to see Philly down 3-1. Giants should win this for sure. Giants/Rangers will not be the big media event that New York/Plilly would be but I'd like to see it myself. (if the Yankees don't come back that is... )

Go get em Todd! I shot a doe Saturday. Doesn't give us any extra points but it was good putting more backstraps in the freezer! Saw a nice buck in the field last night when I was coming out from my stand. Was enough moon light to see him in the bino's. My wife was texting me the whole time that he was in the field. Picked the wrong stand last night I guess. Oh well, season is still young!

Saw a new mature buck in the field behind the house Sunday night right before dark. He's at least an 8pt but I couldn't be for sure. He has a pretty nice size rack from what I could tell but he's a huge bodied deer. Gonna move my camera to see if I can get some pics of this guy and try an set up on him. We get 3 buck tags so I have a chance to upgrade our points if possible!

Thanks guys! How's everyones season going? I could have given us an extra point last night. I have a young, very nice 9pt, behind the house that I could have easily shot. He needs another year though and he broke his left g-3 tine. Hopefully he will make it through the season because he'll be a stud next year!

Thanks everybody for the congrats! He's my best bow killed buck here in VA. Only deer I've killed that's bigger with a bow was in Illinois back in 05. Needless to say I was pumped when I saw the arrow hit the shoulder. Thanks again!!!
