I'm taking a vacation day tomorrow so I can spend the day in a tree. It should be good day. Looks like the weather is going to cooperate and the rut should be firing up.

Absolutely! Seen the same thing here. This was the first time that I ever had to stand in line to vote. Normally it's in & out. Most importantly it looks like we have a new governor in Illinois.

Congrats Shaun! It's nice to have a quick hunt once in a while. Love it when a plan comes together. It is a pain to post pictures anymore. I'm with William, had the best luck with photobucket.

Historically, I see & shoot more deer in the mornings. I think a lot of it has to do with the topography of the farm i hunt. We don't have any row crops to hunt. It's all timber & creek bottom with some small food plots. I checked my trail camera yesterday that had been out for two weeks, & I had 2 night time pictures & no afternoon of mid day pictures. All of the other pictures were between 5 & 10 a.m.

Didn't get to fill a tag over the weekend. I passed on a couple of dinks, but those were the only shot opportunities I had. It's still a little early for rut action, but the switch should flip any day now.

The cooler weather is hear! My buddy hunted at the farm yesterday & shot a nice 130" 8 pointer. We'll be trick or treating tonight, then I have to bring my daughter to her soccer game tomorrow morning. After that's over I'm heading up to the farm for an afternoon sit & staying the night & hunting Sunday. I put a new stand up last weekend over a few scrapes that i can't wait to sit in.

Wow, congrats Fly! That's the kind of buck we dream about. He's heavy with points everywhere....I would guess 150's. My cousin got drawn for Frank Holten park to bowhunt during first shotgun season.

Man, slow contest this year. There hasn't been a new entry in almost three weeks now. We got skunked on Saturday & never seen a deer. On the bright side it's starting to cool off a bit around here, so hopefully things start picking up.

It's supposed to be in the 80's here today. Hunting was not good over the weekend with lows only getting down in the mid 50's I think the cold front is supposed to move through tomorrow, and by the weekend lows will be in the 30's & highs in the 50's.

Tragic loss for the Cards over the weekend. Right fielder Oscar Tavarez was killed in a car accident in the Dominican Republic.

I'm going out tomorrow. The weather is going to be terrible for hunting with highs in the upper 70's & lows only in the 50's. I may just hunt the morning & spend some time in the afternoon tweaking some stands.

That is pretty awesome! Congrats to the young lady! Memories that will last a lifetime. My daughter will be 11 in December & next year she's going to try shotgun hunting for the first time.

Sweet man...congrats on the turkey! Looks like time well spent. I made it out yesterday & got skunked. When the sun came up i noticed an oak tree was down blocking the main trail that goes by that stand, so i spent some time in the afternoon trying to get most of it cleared with my little crummy hand saw. I hunted with a good friend of mine & he seen a little six pointer, but that was it. Slow, slow day. The October lull is in full force here right now. Also, it looks like we have a no show on our team. SSkybnd hasn't checked in & it's been over a month since teams were posted.

It is good to see the Royals finally back in the World Series. Since the Cards are done I hope they steam roll the Giants.

Man, every time they bring in Rosey to close a game i get nervous. At minimum he gives up a walk and a single every game he pitches in.

The scores are posted. We're on the board, but man the other four teams are off to great starts. I doubt I'll be able to go hunting this weekend. My youngest boy has a soccer game tomorrow morning, and my daughter has a softball tournament all weekend long. The sports never seems to end lol. If it's not softball & baseball then it's soccer & basketball. My weekend schedule should be opening up here in the next few weeks, and I'm ready to get back after it.

I had not even noticed the little bar until I read this thread. I also wondered where every bodies signatures went. Apparently you have to hover over the little light bulb looking thingy in the bottom left below the bar to read the signatures now.

I'll agree with that. I do think Kershaw is a bit better than Wano, but his playoff record is awful for some reason.

Wow...a couple of heavyweights going at it. I can't imagine they would have any energy left after 20 minutes of that.

LOL I figured if you seen my post about the Dodgers you would chime in. It does seem to be building a bit of a rivalry between the two teams. I don't know where all this power had been all season for the Cards. I would have never thought they would hit so many dingers in the series.
