It's a nasty one. It came through here this morning, but luckily the winds and rotation have slowed down before it got to us. We've gotten about 2" of rain in the last 4 hours, and have a little ways to go before it moves out of the area.

Ahh yes...RyanH. I never did hear the story of what happened with him here. He built some bow strings for me over at AT a few years ago. Finn and Chrud are a few guys I miss having around this place.

Same problem here. I noticed it last Friday...the formats a mess. All other forums i visit seem fine.

I still check in most every day. I've never really been a guy that starts many new threads, so most of my posts over the years have been replies. I would say that new threads are about 1/4 of what they used to be. When I joined there were new threads started every day, and some days I would check in two or three times a day. We had NHL threads, NASCAR fantasy leagues, MLB fantasy leagues, word games, etc. It seems to be a domino effect.....fewer members....fewer new threads...fewer posts...no need to check in as much anymore. It doesn't seem that theres any real marketing going on to try and get new blood here either. Let's get some deer and turkey contest prizes, maybee a fishing contest in the angling room, a few giveaways throughout the year for forum members, maybee some sort of incentive for people that stick around.

Congrats to you and your wife! My wife is due October 6th. The technology now is amazing for hearing the heart beat and ultra sounds. All of mine were conceived between January and March. I think I need to find a new hobby to get me out of the house a little more after hunting season is over lol.

After posting that thread a few years ago we decided that two kids were enough, but it looks like the Man upatairs had different plans. My wife told me she was pregnant when I got home from Florida last month. We went to the doctor yesterday for a ultrasound and everything is looking good! I'm still in shock. Due date is October 5th.

Hah...Jeez. Guess that happens more than you think LOL. I use to work with a guy that hit one and threw it in the back of his pickup. He was on his way to drop it off to get processed and the thing woke up and jumped out right in the middle of town.

Pretty cool vid. I've never seen a slow motion vid of a slug like that. Shows you exactly what a smooth bore and sabot slug will do. I shoot sabots out my Winchester 1300 rifled barrel. I hunted for years with a smooth bore and rifled slugs though.

Great pics Fly! I love your rock climbing photos. That second one looks like a pretty tall climb. Saturday I took my daughter to the ball fields to work on some hitting and fielding. Today we have about 8" of snow here in Highland. I like it though.....reminds me of the snows we use to get when I was a kid.

Yikes! I've had to cut back on my lime and fertilizer over the past few years. Anymore I lime every two years, and fertilize once. I can't say that I've noticed a drop off in the quality of my plots yet, so maybe I was overdoing it before anyways.

I live about 4 miles from the shop.

I have a Tru Glow and a BSA on a couple of shotguns. I tried a scope and couldn't get used to it, so I went a red dot and love it. I may try to put one on my muzzleloader for my daughter this year.

Some great bucks there...I'm happy just to be included in that group lol. I've got to say Mach1. That's a beautiful buck, and the picture is perfect. Honorable mention goes to Turkey Girl. I like the fact that it's a little different pose than the standard.
