  1. Have never met Randy in person, but have enjoyed sharing the forums with him, watching his videos and sharing stories. The one thing I know about about life is that the only thing that stays the same is everything changes. He'll be fine I'm sure. Although Waddell is still affiliated with RT, look how his career took off when he went out on his own.
  2. I've been in the lawn care biz for almost 10 years now. My suggestion is to find a good used, commercial grade Zero Turn. If you can find one with around 200-400 hours on it in your price range, get it. They are rated to last around 1500-2000 hours. If you're using it solely for home use, you'll never have to buy another mower. I run Wright mowers, but have had Exmarks in the past. Both great mowers, that have given me well over 1000 hours of use with only minor issues from time to time.
  3. We had Deer Chili, sausage & cream cheese squares, buffalo chicken dip, cheese and crackers, veggies, and one of my LA friends brought red beans and rice from the crock-pot.
  4. Steve, what's a Dow? Is that some sort of Canadian species, eh?
  5. My Granddad recorded an album back in 1945 that I still listen to weekly. I love old school country: Hank Williams, CASH, Charlie Pride, Conway Twitty, George Jones, etc.....
  6. A LOT of yankee transplants here in NC. Would love to have ya. Where else can you be 2 hours from the mountains and 3 hours from the beach? I'll never leave NC. Born and raised and love it.
  7. Looks like some sort of Ballroom dancing logo. That would frustrate the heck out of me as well! Good luck finding out.
  8. Welcome to the club. I had to get glasses back in July. Started seeing the "blur" and was getting terrible headaches, especially at night when driving or watching TV. I don't have to wear them all the time, but I've gotten use to them. :cool2:
  9. Just picked this up over the weekend, and ready to put the smack down on some coyotes and bobcats. It's a Bushmaster AR-15 in .223 with a Leupold scope. Not the best picture in the world as I took it with my phone, but you get the idea. :gun2:
  10. Wow, I'm a little surprised this didn't get any replies. Oh well, I'll be there and will take pictures.
  11. Awesome Leo! She's gorgeous. We have 2 rescued Boxers and just got a puppy for Christmas. We are suckers too.
  12. Without a doubt the best the East has to offer. http://www.trailsheaven.com/
  13. For those of you in North Carolina, or close by, just thought I would let you know that this year at the Dixie Deer Classic in Raleigh the featured guests will by Michael Waddell and Lee and Tiffany Lakosky. They will be there all three days. Here is a link to website. I'm pretty excited. http://www.dixiedeerclassic.org/
  14. I have been fortunate to meet many famous people in my life. My granddad himself was pretty famous back in the day as a Country & Bluegrass singer/songwriter/composer/TV personality. My family spent a week every summer with Johnny and June Cash at our beach house in Myrtle Beach. My Granddad is very close friends with Billy Graham and we have broken bread with him on several occasions. Other famous people I was able to meet and talk with along the way thanks to my Granddad include: Kris Kristofferson Willie Nelson Waylon Jennings Michael Jordan David Allan Coe Shooter Jennings (before he was famous and we were kids) Jerry Reed Jimmy Dean Allison Krause Dan Marino Chet Atkins Andy Griffith Other famous people I have met randomly include: Dale Earnhardt Sr. & Jr. Jeff Gordon Steve Smith (Carolina Panthers WR) Alyssa Milano Bobby Jones (former UNC and NBA basketball player)-he was my HS bball coach David Thompson Jose Canseco (complete jerk) Muggsy Boges Tom Cruise (before he became a whacko!) when he was filming Days of Thunder
  15. They hired him because basically most of the studs USC had back in Carroll's first few years were recruited by Kiffin. He still has a lot to prove as a head coach, and I can't stand the guy, but he's got a way with bringing in talent. Plus, he's got one of the best staff's on the market
  16. Well, it worked for Michael Jordan, and continues to work for him even 8 years after his retirement. It pays their bills and regular joes get the satisfaction out of wearing and using the same stuff they do. Overboard, maybe, but it's the American Way.
  17. Ah, I see. Well, my buddy is in the same situation and got the Droid. He really likes it.
  18. Just getting around to posting this, but my dad killed this 9 Pointer behind my grandmother's house in a very urban area about a mile from my Dad's neighborhood. My best guess is that the deer in this area have about 10 acres of undeveloped woods to hang around in. Dad shot him a few days after Thanksgiving. The buck had an inside spread of 18".
  19. I agree with Kat. Forget both and get an iPhone. It's far better than any phone I've ever had.
  20. Not if you know how to train em. Never had a Boxer destroy stuff.
  21. As some of you know from my post last week, we lost our oldest Boxer "Layla" to heart disease. I know it's different for everyone, but for us, having a new dog in the house doesn't replace the one you lost, but it helps us to focus our attention on something else. So for Christmas I surprised my wife with this new bundle of energy. She's almost 7 weeks old in the picture. Meet "Scout"
  22. I did pretty well...Got a GAMO Big Cat 1200 air rifle ("I love Camo" ), a Wii with a few games, a Samsung home theater system, and some cash. Oh and best of all, I got the stomach flu Christmas night that I'm just now getting over. :nurse:
  23. Steve, you're welcome. I'm just glad I actually found something that you didn't have and could put to good use. Enjoy!
