My DXT is now 2 years old and I'd like to replace the string and cables on it. Could I probably get another season out of this set? Yea probably. But I'd like to change them anyway. Anyone have any suggestions? I don't want Winners Choice or any mass produced brand. Had Winners Choice strings on my Ross CR331 & they went on me in a single season. I've heard alot of good things about BuckNasty Strings and personally, I like his halo serving at no extra charge. I've been poking around Archery Talk for the last hour and theres just so much to read there, hopefully you guys can help me decide.

I'd say you're right in between a 250 and a 350 but at 60#, I'd say you can get away with being slightly underspined for your draw length.

Ranger beat me to it. I was gonna post the same link. Yup I'll never buy another Scentblocker product again. The boots that were replacements from last year have started to leak slightly. Next time I'm going with a trusted name like Lacrosse.

Man does it feel like Spring around here lately.. It was 60 degrees for a few days last week then it just poured (5") for the last 4 days and now its going back up to the upper 50's for the next few days. And then more rain. All of the snow is melted and its a muddy mess out there. Thinking about going out and listening to see if some birds are sounding off in this warm weather. But it's still pretty early here in NY. Our gobbling doesn't really start picking up until mid April.

I was just thinking yesterday that the birds should be starting to strut soon and in a few weeks, the gobbling should pick up. Cool pic!

Squirrelhunter91 Adult Rio's & Easterns NY runs May 1st - 31st on Easterns and if I make it for Rios it will be only a 4 day weekend hunt in Texas.

Also thinking about picking up a new vest. Have had the same one for the last 6 seasons or so. Time to upgrade.

I shoot Slick Trick Magnum 100gr off my DXT at 27"/70lb. Talk about a killer setup. I've never had a blade break or bend after blowing through shoulder blades at 40 yards and sticking into the ground. I love ST's and I plan on shooting them for a while. Not to mention, the blood trails are great and entry/exit holes are phenomenal for a 1 1/8" cut. Watch out putting them together though! You most likely will cut yourself if you don't pay attention. Been there done that!

Don't see him begging to use a crossbow with a breath trigger now do ya! **stirring the pot** It's all about the willingness to continue to do what we do and the passion we have for it. If he can do that, there's no reason anyone should have to use a crossgun IMO other than laziness.

Yup! I bought a new Primos Swingin Hen Decoy, a new diaphragm and a gobble tube from Cabelas like 2 weeks ago! It arrived about a week ago. My turkey fever started right after sunset on the last day of deer season! LOL

2008, I shot a button and a doe with my bow and a spike and a doe with the gun. But this year in 2009 I took 4 with my bow. 3 does and a nice 6 point. I can't complain.

Well fellas, it looks like we just about won this thing. I mean there still is time left but as of now we're in first place!!!!
