    London!!!!

Great pics! Thanks for sharing them. Safe trip home!
  3. The Smith is the M&P 15 model, flat top, no front sight w/collapsible stock ( for the states that allow it:rolleyes:). I am not looking for a AR, I have 3;). Colt, Stag and Bushmaster, but the S&W would be a nice addition. The camo finish on the Remington AR is worth around $200, so couple that with the cost of the gun and I think it is right there with other gun makers. I think Gander Mtn is also a high on their prices. Not just guns, my son bought a B mobile deke last week and it cost $69.99. That is a lot of money for a turkey deke. You have to know your prices of products before you buy. Do your homework, as most of us do around here:)
  4. As some of you may know, my son and I are going to Texas to hunt Rios in mid march; and I was wondering if Rios need to be hunted differently that the Eastern's we hunt back here at home. I can imagine cover might be scarce and long range taking, sometimes is common( rifle is legal I hear). I like shotgun range(40yds and under) and Joe might bring his Ross bow. I hear also that snakes are an issue too:rolleyes:. I think Eastern tactics are different due to the terrain. Who has hunted both? Are there any tricks or tips that that we might be able to put to use ? Thanks.
  5. Congrats on the Brute! Thanks for sharing.
  6. We just bought a new Dell tower and it came pre loaded with IE. I am downloading Firefox for the browser. We had it on the old PC and it is a better browser to me. I reccomend it.
  7. NIIICE! Thats one mean n nasty looking animal. Do you trap very many? What do they usually weigh?
  8. Do I ever give myself heart attacks. When I bowhunt, 90% of the time I am in a tree with my climber. I like to get in a hour or more before light and snooze a bit untill game time. Set my cell phone to wake me. But the intial wake up makes me forget now and again, depending how deep I was snoozing:rolleyes:: where I am. I open my eyes and see a long drop and usually jump a bit until I realize where I am. Then I feel the harness and I remember where I am Then I say to myself..."self, you gotta stop falling asleep in trees":D Gun season, I almost always hunt out of a box blind on the ground. Comfy with heat too if its cold. To say I don't fall asleep in that time to time would be a gross understatement.
  9. I just got the snail mail advertisement from Gander today. They have a big firearm sale going on. The Remington R-15VTR is selling for $1099. The S&W M&P15 is a hot buy at $799.95 Bushmaster A3 M4 is $1099
  10. I was looking to put a winch on my ATV. 2500-3000lb capacity. I see some inexpensive ones on Ebay, like Venom and Extreme. These are full kits with mounting plates for $105. Wonder if they are worth it? Any info appreciated.
  11. Thanks for the info. One parent company, owning all these other smaller gun manufacturers might be easy to topple if guns come under attack in the new White house. Scary.
  12. Great gift, Great Uncle and even Greater Aunt! Sorry for your loss, I'm sure your Uncle is smilin' knowing you have his guns. Good Luck with them.
  13. The boys and I were outside at 10:15 or so and it was spectacular. So cool seeing stuff like that.
  14. There are some sort of safeguards against people doing the wrong thing online. There are warning settings and the ability to block out people and inform the X Box authorities of people doing bad stuff. My kids say everyone behaves who they play with. Time to time there are people saying the wrong things and they can be blocked out from contacting the user.
  15. Just got a e mail advertisement from Gander Mtn. Looks like they will be selling Remingtons AR styled rifle. Check out the link. Anyone know how these guns are doing so far? If they are Remingtons, they can't be junk. I expect them to put out a quality firearm. http://www.gandermountain.com/news/newsitem.asp_Q_id_E_15616

    my kids first bow

Welcome to the forums:) Take a look at the Mathews Genesis, it has no set specific draw and it has a 20lb draw weight which most everyone can pull. It works for draw lengths from 18"-30" I believe. I also would recommend the Browning Micro Midas series. You can set the draw without a bow press and it is adjustable from 18"-28". It comes in 2 versions, 20-30lb and 30-40lb. These bows should serve you and your daughter well. Good Luck!
  17. Great news Leo and stick with it. Good Luck and God Bless you.
  18. My son( Squirrelhunter91) BB board, The Great Outdoors; is my home page, but outside of that board. Here is my favorite place:)

We do not get pizza delivered here. The pizza around here stinks, won't waste my money on it. I think its the water:confused: I bring home pizza from work (NYC)...Da Bronx. It may be 45 minutes away, but it is worth the wait.
