Not to steal the thread, but I am having the same problem too. I planted ladino this spring and between the deer mowing it down, weeds now in it, 100 degree days and no rain for 3 weeks, its pretty much dried up. Should I just replow/plant it this fall? Thanks and sorry again

I was looking at the Cobra Sidewinder, and I got the BPS catalog today and it said that it was for right hand bows sooo.... I am lookin for a fix pin in the ballpark of $80
-
I was looking at Basspro and Cabelas both online and did not see anywhere that said if fixed pin sights would fit a left hand bow. How can I find out with out trial and error ordering or driving an hour and a half to basspro?

I am gonna change over to a pin sight this season. I have been hunting with a pendulum and I am happy with it but i do believe that the pins will be the more accuate way. Question is I aam wanting to spend between 50-80 buck on the sight and I was wondering could you recommend a good sight that works well in low light conditions and is durable and easy to set up. Also whats the difference in the .029 and .019 pins besides size difference and which would you recommend. And is a sight light worth it or is that just a waste? Thanks!

I know that it is too soon to do it now, but I am trying to get ready and have ever thing planned out to do so. I live in centeral NC, and I planted a plot of Imperial clover back in the spring during the recommend time period and I am not that pleased as to the thickness of how it came up. So I was wondering how can I thicken it up? I have been mowing it, but it still needs something else done to it. I was told in the fall to mow it really low and seed it really heavily. Also I have been told to open a disc all the way up and barely tear the ground up and then reseed it. What do you guys do or would recommend? I think that I am also goin with the feed store seed this fall because I am far more pleased with its results. Thanks!

First off I apoligize if I have this is the wrong thread, because I was not sure where to put it and I need a response quick. My question is should I throw my backstrap out. i got it out of the freezer last night, it was completely frozen, around 9:30 and set it in the sink to thaw out so that I could cut it up because I left them whole. Well I "thought" that I put it back in the frig' but NO. When I came home from work today around 5:30 I found that I left it out over night and today. The meat was thawed and was room temp maybe a little less. i have it back in the freezer now until I figure out what to do with it. The house temp is around 70ish. My question is the meat still good or do you think the it has spoiled and could get someone sick???? Thanks for the help!!!

Re: best weedeater for the money-stihl or echo Speaking from a landscapers view. I will swear by RED MAX and nothing else. I like stihl chainsaws, but when it comes to the yard, RED MAX has everything whooped by a long shot!!!

Re: Am I crazy? A question for mechanics. If it is one of those that hold around 5 to 6 gallons, why not go out and buy and new one that is plastic and WILL NOT RUST!

Re: Cutco Skinning Knives I have the drop point with the blaze orange handle and I also have a pocket knife that works great for the small tight places and everyday use. Ive skent 3 with mine so far and it is still as sharp and it was the day I got it. Other guys had to resharpen after 2 deer and I can probably go to 7 or 10 before thinkin about sharping!!!!!

Since I have really got into managing my deer herd around here(NC), I want to look for sheds. When do you typically start looking for sheds and what do you look for besides the antler if anything? Thanks!

Re: What type of bullet do you shoot?? All the deer that I have shot have fallen down when I shot them, but somehow manage to get up and run about 50 yards, and I am in a thicket so I cant see them and where they go, just and idea of where they are.

Re: Official Off the Porch Gang signup thread!!!!! Can I get in with a Remington 700 LSS 7mm-Mag and a .454 Casull? -
Ive been shooting the Winchester Supreme ballistic tips. They do a good job on killing, but they blood trail isnt as strong as I want it to be sometimes.

Re: Taking a doe with twin fawns??? I shot a doe tonight that had a fawn with her. With season going out Monday, and no tags had been field yet, you better believe that I let her have it. Also the population is pretty high here, esp. the doe population and needs to be cut back some. The one good thing about the yearling being with her was after I shot her the yearling came back and walked the blood trail and circle the doe(which I couldnt see but got the general directions of where she was at) bleating. Also no milk on the doe so all the doe was doing was being a radar, but the circuit board on that radar got shorted out!!!!!!!!!!!!
