    New doggie!

Meet Boone. Maggie is not sure what to think of him yet.
  5. I set up my climber 30 yards off my back porch in the only tree in the back yard. The same doe that had been coming out for the past 106 days at 4:00pm came out at 4:00pm with 7 new friends, double lunged at 12 yards and she went 15 yards and was done.

  8. Thanks all for the advice and opinions. I will keep this thread updated once I get what I do, hopefully right after Christmas. I would like ot keep this thread alive with more advice and wisdom of all of you so if you think of more things reloading related, post away. It will be a good thread in the future for people getting started and gaining knowledge. All of your knowledge is very much appreciated. Thanks guys. I am sure I will have many more questions to come...
  9. My season is over. Good luck the rest of the team. I was hoping to be able to upgrade but it didnt happen.

What are you guy's thoughts on it and what else would I need to purchase to start? Also, how does the powder measurer work? Am I going to have to weigh everytime I get powder? If so, wouldnt i want an eletronic scale for ease and quicker loads? I am dumb to all this...sorry.
  11. I am in the process of doing a lot of research and reading and am finally almost ready to pull the trigger on equipment to start reloading. I am going to load 22-250, 270, 308, 300 win mag and 338 RUM. What brand do you guys use and what reloading kit would you recommend for someone starting out. I am thinking I want to just purchase the complete kit to begin with and do that for a while to make sure I want to continur to do it for a long time and then step up to the higher price stuff when the time comes. So, recommend me some things please....
  12. Good luck Mike and everyone else. I'm all packed up, called in a vacation day for tomorrow and headed up to the Canadian border first thing in the morning. Should hopefully get up there in time for an evening hunt. Been getting some new bucks on camera this past week so hopefully something shows up. I'm really hoping for a nice fat doe.
  13. Congrats on the stud old man!!!

    Happy 25th Shaun

    Happy Birthday buddy.
  17. How long are you boiling them for? Are you also putting a small bead of glue around the end of the 'wrap' that is closest to the broadhead?
  18. Great bucks Al. Good luck to you and you're little buddy. I'm headed out Thursday for our last weekend of deer season. I doubt I will be able to upgrade my 8 pt though. We have been getting some good pics of 6 8pts and a few 10pts but they are all 1.5-2.5 years old. So, if any of them walk out, even the 10s they will walk and I will hopefully hammer their girlfriend. We shall see what happens.
  19. Good luck. It's been a little slow around here recently. Migration hasnt really happened yet. Just the past 3 days we have started to get some ponds freezing up which is moving the birds to the bigger waters. Potholes has been doing pretty good. The Canadas and Snows are here in full force with more still to come. If you can arrange a field hunt around there you should limit out. The mallards and the few pintails that are here are hitting the fields in the afternoon. I hunted about 30 minutes South of Potholes this weekend and if you stick it out you should get your limit. If you are in need of anything let me know. I assume you will be flying into the Tri-cities? If so, youre 4 minutes from the house.
  20. All the mounts look great William. I love the look of the middle one. Got anymore pics of him? ps, you need some ducks cupped up above the deer in a group like they are landing....
  21. Any of you guys have an update to how your season is going? mike jm23494 Wgumz Acearcher
  22. Well....I was going to head up to the land first thing in the morning but I happened to go scout some ducks last night and found about 1500 new mallards in my honey hole, Dropped 7 of them in 15 minutes and got out of there. Have to hold off on driving up in the morning and head to the hole to hammer some more ducks before deer can happen.
