  1. I hunt in Georgetown on the black river and have only waterfowl hunted on the Santee. i dont know any prices down there, All my hunts are family land and public. What are you going to hunting??? Also my cousin's father in law is the head agent for the Santee Wildlife management area off of 17 just South of Georgetown. I can get you in touch with him, but I doubt he would have any information on hunt clubs there.
  2. goodluck guys, i will also be in the Palmetto woods Saturday tryin to find a bird.
  3. Now that you have figured out how to create blog, figure out how to edit it and place punctuation marks within the text so people will be able to read it, bud.
  4. sweet!!! sounds good. Goodluck tomorrow, and post some pics of that first kill!!! Remember start out soft and get loud with your calls, if you start off loud and they are close it will freak them out and high tail it out of there. The hot dog can be loud, but thats a good thing. Anyhow, goodluck!!!
  5. thats the one i have too, weird, must have just been a bad batch or something. I dont know about all their products but i do know about tires that come from Walmart and Sams club are different compunds and quality than buying from a tire specific type store, but dont know about anything else:confused: The only way i know about the tires is because i worked at a tire shop for five years. Anyhow, not to hijack this thread. Jonnyr you decide on anything or been doing any research and want any opinions???
  6. its about time!!! What an awesome deer, i have read tons and tons of story about this deer. Glad all the stuff going on with it has come to an end....
  7. (walmart) http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=3266755 Is this the scope you have but with the illumintaing crosshairs that light either green or red???
  8. I have that same scope (Well did have) that I got from Walmart on my 10/22 and it would not withstand the recoil from the 22, i dont see how it would hold up to anything bigger than an airgun. I would shoot to try and site it in and each time i would move it, it would go all over the place. The recoil would move the crosshiars, so I figured I got a bad scope, took it back, got a new one, and the same thing happened, so back again I went for a 3rd time and after taking it back the third time I got a new fishing rod. Maybe my luck with BSA is horrible, but i just could not get it to site in.
  9. on youtube's homepage that is. I guess somebody is playing an April Fools day prank. Go to youtube homepage and click on any video, haha!!!!

    Illionis Deer

story says they were found while shed hunting last week, so dont know how long, but i would say this years death
  12. these two were found dead.... http://rutjunkie.com/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1392.0;attach=549;image
  13. yeah a grand could get you a real nice set up. A good "univeral" middle of the road scope would be nikon, bushnell. both great scopes and would do exactly what you wanted then to do.
  14. dont ever use them, but i would like to get one of the $200 ones one day. Use the one you got and see what happens, I know a lot of people who use them and have great success
  15. but all my hunting stuffs in my first will.....
  16. i could go post in every thread to get there but thats not my style:D
  17. nope, never have.....dont really know what else to say in this post
  18. The longest I have had them take was 45 minutes if they were in the area. I have had them come in without howling back, but hunting on open fields I would see for a long ways and could watch them come in if they were not talking back. the Ki Yi is both, depending on where you place the rubber band and what you want it to sound like. I use it for both the same amount.
  19. The optics all depend on the range you are shooting. For shots under 200 yards I would go with a 3-9x40 or 3-10x50. I presonally like the 6.5-20X50s or a little higher but i shoot 300 to 500 yards and like to be able to see at that range. the action of a rifle is all personal preference. I prefer the bolt action because that is what I have always shot and will continue to shoot.
  20. possibly, But start off not as loud as you can incase they are close to you, you dont want to sound too loud. If you do a normal sound call and get no responses, increase the volume until you get a response. If you do get as loud as you can and do not hear or see anything within 20-30 minutes move on.
  21. my favorite are Browning and Ruger for Rifles, I have a 270 Abolt by browning and love it to death. I also have my 22-250 in a ruger. The ruger is a little bit cheaper than the browning abolt. Optics, for me there is only one, Leupold. They have every sice you can thing of an range from $150-$2500.
  22. i'm in!!! doc, thanks for the talk tonight about the doggie!
