  1. A few things that will really help you out and get you going. Bowmaster bow press 50.00 Serving Jig and serving 40.00 bow square 3.00 Set of allen wrenches 10.00 These things will get you going and will do most of what you need until you can really dig into a bow. By that time, you will have a list of your own and know what to get. Good luck and be careful.
  2. Congrats on a nice buck, and he'll probably come in around 90-95 inches.
  3. Hey guys, just checking in and it looks like you all are doing a fantastic job for our team. Keep it up and I'm hoping to get int he woods this weekend and then take a trip to Va. after Christmas.
  4. I've been fortunate enough to take 3 grey foxes and one red with my bow. I actually decapitated a crow last weekend with a rage head, more proud of that shot, than the foxes. lol
  5. Welcome to the forums. You've got belly hair and some flesh. The deer will be okay, sorry you lost it.
  6. Welcome to the forums! I'm sure you will enjoy it here.
  7. Let's just let a dead dog lie.
  8. I've got a full rut buck, but he is over 200.00 so the isn't one you want. I bought a Delta "Backyard Buck" for practicing on smaller deer and this guy works great. it's cheap and the vitals are cheap to replace too. You can ge the deer and a new vital for under 100.00.
  9. Wow! That is a monster, look forward to hearing the whole story and score on it.
  10. I tried but got busy on the floor here at work.
  11. Looks like he might come in around 105-110 inches.
  12. I've got a son (Hammer), daughter (Tiger Lily), brother (Elwood), niece (skeeter) and me ! LOL
  13. You sure can't beat those Muzzy Moments! LOL I've used Muzzy's for 17 years now, tried the Tekans when they came out, killed a deer watched it flop within sight. Tried the Rage 2's, killed a deer with one and watched it flop in sight. I'm still using Muzzy's and will never switch.
  14. Yeah, I had that happen on a couple of occassions, like you had said, there was no sign of infection or anything on the outside of the deer. Started skinning them and BLAMO, out pops this thick green ooze. The best I could figure was an old wound to them. We just cut around the infected area and kept the rest, no problem with the meat or taste.
  15. Warm, Warm, Warm, its everywhere Ruth. I just read a bunch of post on AT to see what the word was from their side. Deer sightings are way down and buck sightings are even fewer. I think it's the warm weather, I wouldn't want to be running around in all that fur in the heat of the day. I thought it might have been just the area we hunted.
  16. Just curious to see if anyone has used this stuff yet? I bought two botle of it for me and hunting buddy in the dominant buck urine. This stuff totally smells like SOAP, particularly dishwashing soap. I am very disappointed in this product and the results were very bad with this stuff. Give me your opinions on this.
  17. Well, I got back from Ohio yesterday and it totally sucked for the rut. it was over by the time we got there, there was a couple of bucks chasing on the day we hung stands. I did manage to shoot another Doe and passed a couple of small bucks. the big boys were pretty much nocturnal and not mocing much in the daylight hours. I had a good time but it sucks for our team and points to get. I've still got some time to hunt here in NC and maybe in VA. Good luck guys and be safe.
  18. I'm leaving in the morning to get my chance at a good one myself! Be carreful and have fun! Good luck.
  19. Way to go Todd! Very nice buck and great story!
