  1. :D:p:DI'm just trying to get a Muzzy hat to shut me UP! LOL
  2. I'd be frowning too, if I had to wear a Hoyt hat verses a Muzzy Hat! LOL I've got to get me a Muzzy hat they look great and I've shot them ever since I started bowhunting. That is a wonderful picture though, you can really feel the pain from that girl!:D
  3. Gorilla has some great stand for the money you are willing to spend and less. They are light and comfortible.
  4. I'm glad you didn't get hurt, lots of folks haven't been that lucky on them. I didn't hit one but had five in the yard this morning!
  5. I agree totally, i will have barrow my daugthers calculator in one of my next classess coming up in a few months.
  6. I've been all over the Hodgdon's web site and reading all I can. I'm just very comfortible loading those amounts so I'll stick with what is safe and keep it around2,500 to 2,600 fps. The will still bust a varmit and do the damage I want. I appreciate all the info UncleJ!
  7. The back ground doesn't look like jack rabbit country. I'm still sticking with Bambi Ears!:D
  8. Funny picture, but it looks more like deer ears instead of rabbit. They are as big as the dogs ears unless that is a snowshoe.
  9. You have to want too quit and be ready too do it! I smoked for 12 years and was ready to quit and have now been quit for coming up on 6 six years. These guys are giving good advice but it's totally up too you whether you do it or not. Don't do it because the price is to high now, because more than likely when or if the prices come back down you'll think it's okay to start again.
  10. I wonder what that shark down below you was thinking? LMBo Looks like a great time, I'm ready for my beach trip in June! Glad you had a good time.

    Whats up?

I hear ya Will! I had to drive over that dang mountain twice today in the blinding snow and high winds. I am so ready for this cold weather to be over with.
  12. Awesome Randy! That shot on youtube should have been enough to get you into the book! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. I had an 2007 Martin Slayer Extreme and it sure was a shooter, if this bow is anything like that one. You will enjoy it! Good luck to you! SS
  14. I'm with you on the nickel brass, it pretty much sucks and I will not be getting anymore of that and just stick with the normal brass. I read several load charts last night and saw that some were putting 13.0 grains of Lil Gun behind the bullet. That has to be some kind of really bad compressed load. I even double checked my scales to see if they were off. That is good to know about the small pistol primers, I've got a few hundred of those and needed to get rid of them. I also have deburred all of my brass after trimming and had good results on the crinkle of the neck. Thank you for the information, Uncle J SS
  15. Thanks guys...........I thought for a little bit that I did have 44 special brass since it was so short, but those are 1.260 on the case length. I just started trimming my 44 brass a few weeks ago and have had great consistancy with them on loading. I was getting several bulges lately on my cases after the bullet seating and crimping station. Now I know why. Thanks again! SS
  16. I've got Moose, Sponge Bob, Dale Jr., Whitetail, Corona, Plaid, and a couple of others. Nothing like being in those and some flops shooting my bow. My nieghbor that hunts with me in Ohio gives me up the road for wearing them. Tells me a true deer hunting redneck, "I'm not"! LMAO
  17. I just bought a new bag of brass for my Super Black Hawk, the trimmed case length is supposed to be 1.280. All of these cases are 1.275 to 1.270, so I just set my case trimmer to 1.270. My question is, will this length of the case affect the load in any other way than powder space, which I'm not worried about a compressed load since I don't shoot that much powder. Thanks for the help again! SS
  18. Do you mean the rim of the case, as in the bottom of the case? I did measure the thickness on some of my cases, they measured very consistant in the .060 to .061 thickness.
  19. Easy with the jammies! LOL Those are actually house pants and I've got 6 pair of them from Corona to Whitetail deer flannel ones. Very comfortible and I have shot in mine as well with the exception of wearing a T-shirt with them. You go Kev! I've got a pair of Sponge Bob Square pants ones too!
  20. I know that I will not buy anymore nickel brass, I've had more problems with those than the standard brass. Finally getting my headspace and OAL set, it's been a piece of cake. The nickel brass how ever has been a pain in the butt to keep the bullets from leaning to one side as I press them in. I think it could be more on the lines of loading the Hornady XT's over the Sierra SP's since the XT's are more tappered and will having a tendancy to lean while being pressed intot he case. I can't wait to ge those Poly-tipped bullets in and load those up this week.
  21. I'm not very familiar with rest on X-bows but I have seen a whisker biscuit mounted on one. Look into those or some type of full containment rest, you might be able to fashion one up on there for her.
  22. Cool! Thank you, that really explains a lot and clears things up. I am going to load up some Hornady V-Max bullets 40 gr. with the polymar tip. I read some article on this load in a Hornet, a couple of the replies were 250-300 yards kills on groundhog and prairie dogs. Also 1/2 groups at 100 yards loaded with Lil Gun. I can't wait to load these up and try them out now. Thanks again! SS
  23. What is the difference in a .224 Hornet bullet and a .224 bullet? I've read some guys loading a .224 bullet for their Hornets and getting great results. This also opens up my opertunities for different rounds. Will shooting a standard .224 round out a Hornet hurt it? What's the deal?
  24. 7mm-08 or .308 it would be gone in a heart beat. That is a heck of a price on that gun, Greg! I hope it sells for you.
