  5. Got the five I killed this past season in the sticky at the top of this forum.
  6. That does sound like a great day and I'm glad you're loving the bow thing! I've tried them all on small game, and the most recent that I used was the adder points. Man, those things will whallop a beaver and muskrat! Cheap too!
  7. Thanks to all you for the birthday wishes! :DI am at home now adn getting ready for my favorite meal! CHIC-FIL-A :D:DMy wife loves me!
  8. My bad, I was under the impression this was a new bought bow.
  9. Got to agree with William and OO. Most people have all ready tried and hung this guy. Who's to say it isn't photo shopped by some anti-war activist. It'll all come to light soon enough, then we can judge this guy for what he worth.
  10. That is always a bit of a disappointment for buyers when they get their new bow home and it isn't shooting as fast as advertised. You've just got remember that they are listed at IBO speeds of 5 grains for pounds and our hunting set-ups are much heavier on weight. HCA has their new bow rated and warranted down to 3 grains per pound, that is just about dry firing.
  11. On a standard you will lose/gain about 2-3 fps for every 10 grains you add/take away from your arrow.
  12. Yep, 5 grain per pound on most warranties from bow manufacturers. Question for you, though. Have you shot from all distances yet? If so, how is the pin gap? Did it tighten (closer together) up from the last bow or did you have to open them up some? If you tightened them up then your bow is shooting faster, if you moved them apart, then your bow is shooting slower. If you went to a bigger diameter arrow it will change your pin gap as well. IBO rating-if your bow is set at 70 # draw, don't go below 350 grains on your arrow weight.
  13. HEY! Thank you very much! I just wish I didn't have to work today!
  14. Beautiful buck, I'm just not sure he used the right form for that buck. The chest looks small and the neck looks longer than normal making the head/skull look bigger. I can't tell if its the camera angles, but that is just what I'm getting from the pictures. Awesome buck though, congrats! If I busted your bubble I'm sorry, just giving you my honest opinion.
  15. The new MX heads and Slick tricks have a steaper angle of cut which creates a need for more energy to push the heads through the animal. Granted you hit them in the right spot you don't havea thing to worry about. I've used Muzzys for the last 16 years in the 100 and 75 grain heads. The 75 I've used for the last 4 years and have had great success with them.
  16. It'll just look like someone threw a tackle box at you if you keep getting things pierced. If god wanted you to have something through your nipple, he'd put a hole in it all ready.
  17. Amanda is gone, but the Beach Boys are coming to town!
  18. The wind around here is blowing hard enough to blow 10,000 candles out.
  19. Cheesecake? Who cares? What kind of muffler doe you guys run on your pickup truck?
  20. it got shot with a scoped gun, not enough to keep it down! LMBO
  21. The largest Nitrous Cams,I'd have to look at the owners manual to know the exact name of them. This is the bow rated at 347 IBO, Joel C. of Martin personally set built this bow. Its got his sig. on it as well.
  22. I use three for hunting 20, 30, and 40; then I use 4 for tourney's 20, 30, 40, and 50. If I hunted out West a lot there would be at least six on there: 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, and 70.
  23. Just got my other baby in and still waiting on all of my accessaries for both of them. I will have pictures of my twins when they are fully clothed! LOL
  24. Straight from the Kentucky Wildlife book ARCHERY EQUIPMENT RESTRICTIONS Legal Hunters may use the following: • Longbows, recurves and compound bows • Broadheads at least 7/8” wide • Any draw weight (no minimum) Illegal A deer hunter shall not use or possess while deer hunting: • A broadhead smaller than 7/8” wide • A barbed broadhead • A chemically-treated arrow • An arrow with a chemical attachment
  25. You bow will be fine shooting 70#, it'll only wear out if you shoot to light of an arrow through it. There hasn't been a whole lot change in the last 10 years except the bows technology and speed. Arrows are still pretty much the same as well as the broad heads, you've just got a better selection of them now to choose from. If you are comfortable shooting the 70# then leave it there, just concentrate on your release and shooting form. Only shoot 3 arrow groups at a time until you get your muscles built back up, then increase your groups by one arrow, etc. For a broad head, its all in the shooters preference. I've been shooting a 3-blade Muzzy for 16 years now. I know shooters that change there broad heads like they change their underwear. any broad head will do the job if you put it were its supposed to be on the animal. Personally I like a fixed blade head, don't have to worry if the blades are going to deploy or not. JMO good luck to you and feel free to ask anymore questions and welcome to the forums.
