  2. Awesome buck and tell your cousin congratulations!
  3. Awesome kill! Congratulations on a great buck! I'm going to say he'll score in the 145-150 range.
  4. Way to call it tink! A spade is a spade. Totally agree with you on this.
  5. Gotta kill'em to add'em. Maybe week after next it will happen when I go to Ohio.
  6. The cable coming off of the cam is supposed to be at an angle since it's being off-set by the cable slide bar. Just as long as you don't have any cam lean you are fine, this can be adjusted by twisting one of the harness strings that attach to your upper axle, but this is only done if you have cam lean. Otherwise your bow will be fine. The one you need to worry about being striaght is the string.
  7. Niels................My long lost friend, it sure is great to see you in here again. I hope we can talk again soon, I've got a lot of deer stories to tell you. About the question you are asking, yes I would do some grunting, but no so soft. give it a little bit of attitude because, if a dominant buck is in the area. He will come and investigate the intruder. Shoot me a PM and let know if your number is still the same and I'll give you a call this wekeend. Glad to have here again!
  8. Well guys, I am about to give up on bowhunting. My season has to be one of the worst I've had in over 10 years. I had a small eight I let walk on Friday and two does that wouldn't present me a shot on the first morning and then that evening, I had dogs running all in the woods the last hour of evening. Saturday morning, I was full draw on a upper 130's to low 140's 9 point at 10 yards and couldn't get a shot on him, I had a maple tree branch in the way and I wasn't going to take an iffy shot on him. He came out to a scrape and brought his head to a licking branch and then we proceeded to look at each other eye to eye. I needed him to take two more steps and he was in the clear, he couldn't take much of me looking at him so he blew and bolted. that evening I had three Does come out and waited on one to get broadside, in the mean time a squirrel is raising cane, getting them more nervous than they all ready were from the wind blowing pretty hard. I released the arrow and all three of the dropped down to bolt, I hit the I was holding one high, got a pass through of nothing but meat. She wheeled and broke my arrow! I sure hope Ohio goes better than is has here in NC, I have had an opportunity at two book bucks and couldn't close the deal as well as not putting any meat on the ground. Sorry had to get on my soapbox for a bit, I'm just frustrated and not doing much for the team.
  9. I thought the same thing, awesome buck none the less but different pic's.
  10. It looks like we are the last one with a name to be posted for our team, how about the "Bone Hunters" or if someone else has got a name let's get it in to have it posted as our team name. Good luck to everyone, I've got four more days till I can get into the woods and then two more weeks until my trip to Ohio.
  11. Big Big! I'm going with 156 5/8"! Awesome buck Chris, I just hope I can take one even close to that in a couple of weeks when I come up. Congrats again!
  12. Staying with my Muzzy's, only time they have failed me is when I made a bad shot as with any broadhead. JMHO;)
  13. Been at it for 16 season now and my best is a 10 that netted 129 2/8" in the P&Y books.
  14. Well, I get one more chance in the woods here in NC before I go north to Ohio. I'll be making a trip back to camp in two weeks for a weekend hunt so maybe I can help get some more points for us then. You guys be safe out there and good luck to you.
  15. Congratulations on your first bone!
  16. That is awesome and congratulations! I'm wanting to make it out to New Mexico in the future to bag a Wapiti!
  17. Congratulations on the Doe, Griz! I'm still waiting on a weekend off to go hunting again this month. I do have hunt in Ohio coming up in 6 weeks, so maybe I'll get some more points for us after that hunt. Good luck to all of you and be safe out there.
  18. It's been used for some time now in paint balls and this thread will be gone as well as the poster if it's pushed any further for Ebay sales.
  19. I shot CSS for 9 years and loved those bows, but felt like it was time to upgrade this year. I had two Challengers and loved bothof these bows. The brace height was short at 6 1/4" but a dang great shooting bow. They went from CSS arhcery to Richwood and now Horton. I don't know how the quality is now on them but the later bows were great. Get a Doinker, I tried several different stablizers on these bows and this was the only one that took the shock out of them. I shot the Doinker power bar with mine at 12" that kept the bow balanced very well. I know the new Doinker Fatty work great as well to balance out the bow.
