  1. LMBO...........can you say "Holy Bat Gaunno" Robin. The little man sure looks like he was! LOL That picture is great!
  2. Congratulations guys! It was a blast and I had a lot of fun with the banteringback and forth during the contest. Loved it! Congratulations again! Chance, you rock man, the contest was a great one and thanky ou for all the time and effort you put in to it.
  3. Thank you Everyone! It was the greatest birthday EVER!!!!
  4. Most sights have a standard size light that screws into them. I'd suggest going to an archery shop and finding the sight that you have and go from there.
  5. I've got the Glendel Full Rut and have had it for three years now, going one four. I only use it for broadheads and have had to replace the block out in it once. I shoot a alot of broadheads into it and really impressed with the life span of it.
  6. I totally switched from GT Hunter XT's to the Maxima Hunters and absolutely love them. I've got 3 dozen of them now, if that tells you anythng. LOL
  7. Good deal and I know how you feel about the arrows. I looked for almost 2 hours for an arrow this year in Ohio and finally found it about 25 yards from my tree. I had walked all over it and couldn't see it. I must have walked back and forth to the deer about 10 times before finding it. I know its not over a few month span like yours but I still want my arrows that I kill a buck with.
  8. That buck should Net in the mid 140's, great buck no the less.
  9. Well, it's that time again and I slipped a little on getting this up for the year. All of you folks post away on your scores and good luck to you all. Shoot Straight/Straight Shooter
  10. Wow! I was just thinking today that I needed to get a thread started for the scores this year. I will go ahead and do that now. It also, sounds like you coming right along with your shooting, your scores are very good to have just started out. Keep up the good work.
  11. Beautiful rack and I glad you were able to finally solve the puzzle in finding him. Bowhunting is a very humbling sport and will teach a ton of lessons season after season. As a hunter, if you took the lesson lerned from this, it will only make you a better hunter in the end. Congrats again on finding him and an awesome buck for sure.
  12. Agree, you need the high speed saw to cut carbon, those guys using a pipe cutter were more than likely cutting aluminum arrows which is fine. With the carbon you will have the splinters and a great risk to you. The money it cost you to have them cut correctly is far cheaper than the doctor bill it'll cost to remove the splinters from your hand/arm. Also, using any type of hand tool (ie. Drimmel) will not give a good square end for your insert and broadhead. It might cut clean enough but you can not hold the tool in the same position everytime by hand and will have very inconsistant arrows. I have my own arrow saw, and know alot of folks can't get their own but I wold recommend to you going and having them cut at a local shop. Especially for safety's sake on your end, and accuracy sake on the bow end.
  13. Totally agree with what Tony is saying here. I did the same thing and was so used to have that pin gap with a clear sight window and it kind of made it a little frustrating because I couldn't see the target with verticals.
  14. I'll be there, great course and club. You folks that can't make it, this sure is a fun place to shoot and a ton of great people.
  15. yeah, fine tuning your new setup is a pain but well worth it in the long run if you want consistancy in your shooting. I tweek and tweek until mine are exactly where I want them. You need that nail driving accuracy for spot shooting as well as hittting the 12 ring, I don't shoot a scope or clarifier but adjust on mine just the same. I shoot as small of a fixed pin as a can without giving up the light gathering ability for low light situations and the grip is crucial as well. The wrapped on the grip is a good idea to allow consistancy on your grip form and prevent ing torque or slippage during the draw and shot. Good luck to you and I hope to hear about some high scores with that new set up.
  16. That is a very nice rig! I've have dropped the ball so far this year on doing any shooting yet. That new bow should suffice very well for tournaments and you gotta love those Hoyt's, they've really come a long way in the last few years. Good luck to you!
  17. Agreed Chris, well said buddy!:stupid:You're not stupid. j/k lol
  18. No repercussion, No Banning! Taken well and understood.:soda:
  19. Totally bad advertisement for G5 right there and I hate to say that. Always a potiential for failure with expandible's, that is why I used fixed blades. JMHO That is unbelievible as well, perfect shot placement and the booger is still running other bucks off because of his dominance. Dead and he didn't know it.
  20. that's a sweet looking bow. Congratulations.
  21. BUMP, Steve you should have your package in a few days. Thank you again.
  22. I'm like Mike here, I don't start shaking until afterwards but I can't say that when I first got into bowhunting. I literally had times I couldn't pull by string back i was so tore up over a Doe within shooting distance. Now, I am fine during the shot but have to sit down after its over. I had a big 160" 10 point at 30 yards and video taped him even this year in Ohio for about 15 minutes. Did just fine but when he left I was like a leaf blowing in the wind and weak kneed. LOL I guess it all depends on the hunter and how they can control their nerves.
