I'm having a hard time telling how big this buck is. At first I thought he was a 8 that busted off his G-3, but then I think he might just be a big 6 pointer. Also it looks like he might have crab claws too. I've blown the pic up but still it's a little hard to tell. If some people have some better software and could check it out that would be great.

Re: Check out this mount I've looked at hunts like those and they run from about 12,000 to 18,000. The taxidermy bill would be right around 16,000 for that. So total you are looking at about 30,000 all day for that. Crazy isn't it. It took him I think 3 straight days to get it done and from what he said straight means all day. They were in a rush to get it to a show they were going to. Now of course that doesn't take into account the tanning portion of it. These guys got it made. They run a very successful business that affords them the ability to do these incredible hunts. The office is like a Cabelas or Bass Pro with all the mounts.

Re: REALTREE ANTLER ASSASSIN\'S 18 deer and one was a 10, but he only got to 60 yards...I felt helpless as he skirted the edge.... Time to hang em up for this season guys....Hopefully someone else can come through big...

Re: REALTREE ANTLER ASSASSIN\'S well it's been a rough season thus far...I've been hunting for 16 years with a gun and 8 with a bow. I did get a bow kill this year, but prior to this I haven't missed with a gun well this year I have missed 5 times.....I don't have a clue what is going on....It's crazy, the confidence is shook big time...I still am giving it a shot though. I'm going out Sautrday all day and then if nothing happens then I still have two weekends of bow left.....wish me luck b/c I could use a little now.....

Re: REALTREE ANTLER ASSASSIN\'S iminrut..I saw something like that on North American Hunter TV...The guy shot the buck with a muzzleloader and dropped him right there but about 5 seconds later he got up and ran off....No blood and no nothing. They searched for two days to no avail. They went back and looked at the shot frame by frame. The bullet hit perfectly in the shoulder and then the wierdiest thing I've ever seen happened. That buck moved his leg and that Sabot fell out of the hole that it hit in!!!!!I'm dead serious too I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it on the show. The bullet fell to the ground and the buck ran off. It's amazing what happens sometimes while hunting in the woods...

Re: REALTREE ANTLER ASSASSIN\'S Hey guys sorry for not being around lately. I have been checking I just haven't posted. I haven't tagged the a nice one yet, but I've been close. We have muzleloader coming in this weekend. I will be hunting next weekend hard trying to tag him.....There has been a ridiculous amount of bucks killed around our place, but only one of the big ones that I know of....So that leaves at least 4 shooters that I have seen myself. I'm trying hard guys and hopefully this will all pay off. I've never hunted this hard before....Congrats to everyone else as well...We have put some great points up and now we just need to get two more tagged and a upgrade on mine....

Re: Just not Fair (pic) I see alot of fatal shot posts and people saying that the gut shot is fatal...Yes it is fatal, but not fatal right away in most cases. That deer would have lived several hours maybe even a couple days before dying. It's a tough situation, but like it was stated before the hunter probably had no idea the buck was hit and even if he did he couldn't have a clue who hit it. Just b/c your nieghbor shoots doesn't mean he shot THAT deer....As for people saying they couldn't claim another deer that someone shot. Most gut shot deer that I have seen have went a long way and typically blood has been lost and they have been stumbled across later on, or the birds have found them and that's how they get found. Unless that shot was in the boiler room(which it wasn't) then the second guy has rights to the deer. Now I would be mad as all get out if you smoked him and he jumped a fence and got shot as he was going down. Then I would have issues.
