    Last time

Were trying to get the house ready for the wifes graduation next week and shes re arranging the upstairs. In the process we took down the babies crib and put up a toddler bed in its place.I was loading the crib into the car to take over to my sister in laws when it dawned on me that this was it, I wont be putting any more cribs up in the house. The wife cant have anymore, the scar where they do the C-sections has gotten to thin to chance it and she got fixed during the last pregnancy.Hard to explain the feeling i got when that dawned on me but somehow putting that crib in the hatch of the wifes truck was a pretty depressing thing to have to do You ever have anything really dumb hit you like that

  7. Re: Did you ever cruise town? We spent more time then I can remember cruising the 6 block mainstreet here in town, then the city council and police started harrassing people so we started cruising the gravel roads towards the end of high school.Funny thing was nobody hurt anything driving up and down main at 15 mph, soon as they ran us out of town kids started getting killed

  11. Re: Nightmare Renovations Thats a mess Buckee, I wont even work on trailers any more for that reason, the older ones had pretty poor framing and a lotta moisture problems it seemed like.We were gonna replace a window in one when I was first getting into this and by the time we replaced all the rot under the window we had tore the whole floor out and replaced it in about 1.4 of the trailer When you do get the rot tore outin em theres usually very little left to reattach things to as well

    Thoughts ........

Re: Thoughts ........ Gotta agree with Chris on this.Thought I might add one other thing.ive seen people in here get real nasty about some prettty trivial things in the past and people start taking sides. You throw a lotta money and the possibility for some people to take advantage of it to make a buck, or people getting turned down and getting thier feelings hurt this forum could easily become a not so nice place to be around.Plus if word got out we would attract every lowlife on the web that wanted to make a buck.IMHO its a great idea with to much potential to backfdire. The way things have been done in the past, with everyone kicking in when asked and doing it on good faith has worked well so far without any of the problems that could come up with this.Theres little chance of anyone getting mad, theres no books to keep track of, nobodies responsible for large sums of money, decision making , etc... and so far nobody to my knowledge has ever tried anything dishonest in here in the course of a fundraiser.
  15. Re: immigrants and burritos Seriously, I worked for a mexican lady out in Denver for a couple weeks fixing her windows and some other stuff. She invited me in to eat with her family a few times.White people have really screwed up mexican cooking It was some of the best food Ive ever eaten.Taco Bell realy sucks in comparison.
  16. Re: A look at Wages (illegals) Washi, your brothers employers probably also charging people 18 or 20$ an hour for your brothers services while paying him 8$ an hour. Its the same way for the illegals in a lotta cases, the employers charging way more then hes actually paying out. This has been the case in almost every constuction outfit i have ever been involved with. I guesse what Im trying to say is hard work might be rewarded but the one doing its not always the one being rewarded
  17. Re: immigrants and burritos Hes got me there, i enjoy a good burrito
  18. Re: CABLE TV Seriously, if they trired to customize channels for each individual household and filter out the ones everyone doesnt watch youd probably be paying more for those 5 channels than you are now for all of them.

    Ouch

We were walkingthrough Walmart yesterday looking for those nets you hang up in kids rooms to put stuffed animals in.We couldnt find em so we went and got some help. The lady and my wife went down one isle and i followed the kids into a different one looking at toys.About 2 seconds later we heard this terrible crash follwed almost immediately by another one in the isle my wife had went down.We headed over that way and my wife was standing in the isle trying not to cry and surrounded by boxes, with two ladies hovering around her nervously asking if she was allright. One of them had been stacking 20 inch box fans up on the top shelf in the next isle over and tried using a long stick to straighten them, she screwed up and pushed the whole display over as my wife was walking under them Two big box fans hit her right in the top of the head from clear up on the top shelf as a result. We left our name and phone # when we left the store shortly afterwards. My wifes still got a headache and sore neck from the experience and is going to the chiropractor tonight.Walmart did call last night and left a long message on the machine apologizing for the incident but the wifes calling them this afternoon to let them know she is going to the chiropractor since they never called back again like they said they would Im just glad I was pushing the cart with the baby in it when it happened and not her
  23. Re: OK INS - The Illegals Are Lining Up For You [ QUOTE ] In California on Thursday, the state senate passed a resolution recognizing "The Great American Boycott of 2006," saying it would educate the United States about the contributions made by immigrants. The measure passed 24-13 along party lines with dissenting Republicans arguing that it sanctioned lawbreaking and encouraged children to skip school. [/ QUOTE ] Someone want to explain to me why this was even in front of the state senate to start with and how it passed ??Seriously, if a bunch of Mexicans think it will help thier cause to march more power to em, but passing a resolution allowing for kids to skip school and people to leave work without reprocussions is going a little far IMO
  24. Re: Think I robbed a Dairy Queen Honestly its a clear plastic gun, doesnt even look real.Sometimes I forgot not everyones familiar with guns to begin with.Think the noise scared her more then anything.
  25. Re: The one thing I\'ll miss............. Kinda gotta go with Buckee, all I see is moisture being trapped and boards rotting out under a pile of weeds Very pretty weeds though.
