  1. Yeah, bow was ok. cams fine, site and rest fine...Think it's more of a "me" issue....Started shooting again today. Stuck to 10 yards and shot working on form and then also closing my eyes and shooting....what a difference...More relaxed when I can't see anything, lol.
  2. I can't say as I don't use a range finder... I will say companies may look for a way to improve but htey are also looking for a way to make $ as well.... Maybe someone here has used a rangefinder with the arc...
  3. We have tons of it growing but never dig it up until we need some to make horseradish. Be forwarned...don't stick your nose in to smell it after chopping it up in the blender or food processor, lol! :-o
  4. Just remember, God doesn't give us anything we can't handle, and He's always there to get use through. Soundsl ike He has gotten you through! Congrats on finishing taxidermy!!
  5. Hope to go out tonight by a different field and see what I can see:)
  6. My Leaf River is currently set 2 photo Quick Shot mode...it takes like 20 seconds between shots though, not a few seconds like on my Scoutguard. It's also on 24/7, 7mp and high resolution.
  7. Aaaww...very sorry to hear Snapper!! I know the hurt of losing a pet...it's hard...it will get better in time but it's tough.
  8. I'll be using my Mossberg 500 20ga and was wondering which choke I should use for the #2 shot I'll be using. I have a full, modified, impr. cylinder, and I think and x-tra full. My hunting situations will be in fields. I'll hopefully be able to work them in nice and CLOSE. I can't remember what I used last year...only went out twice. This year planning to go out ALOT! Was the first person yesterday to by the duck stamp at my local post office:jaw:
  9. Well after the weekend apparently we got up to 2" of rain. Going into a warming trend this weekend into next week....Sept. 1 is our goose and squirrel opener...I'd prefer some temps more in the upper 60s/low 70s. Squirrels I bet will be loaded with the warbles...aka the grub/larva in their skin (gross).
  10. LOL, ditto!:tt1::gunsmilie: Just be yourself, don't fall into peer pressure. I was homeschooled so I didn't get the full whammo. Enjoy yourself because you'll be in college next!:jaw:
  11. Well the apples are dropping and I noticed while we are suppose to get warmer temps during the day next week, we are dropping into the 50s at night. You know it's fall when the temps get cool at night time. Anyone else seeing signs of fall?
  12. I've heard of it. I should try to do that!
  13. We have to apply for our DMPs here in NY. They use to be free, now we have to be $10...and that is $10 if you get one or two. Last two years including this one, I've only gotten 1 DMP. The one forum I'm on, we kepy count of how many dead deer we found post season...the DEC I think needs to figure in how many deer get lost or hit by cars...
  14. Definitely! Actually a buddy from nursing school, she just had surgery for colon cancer and there was a potential of liver involvement, not sure. But she's doing well, had chemo. Cancer can be serious but it is not always a "death promise". Depending on how involved or not it is, he may just need to treatment and/or surgery. Cancer is a wait and see disease... Wishing you and your family a good outcome!
  15. Hope to watch it today at 1:30!
  16. Awesome find Chris! I haven't found any in a few years but I have about 6 I've found...
  17. That's awesome! Hey, I got to meet Randy Oitker last spring...:-D
  18. For deer, probably my bow...love archery...loving it more than shotgun season.
  19. I'd be happy to shoot any of those deer! That drop tine is awesome!
  20. I think once we start getting into fall...groups will start moving and breaking up and we'll start seeing more...If it's like last year where I got photos of several bucks but during hunting season saw completely different bucks for the most part...You never can tell...
  21. I'd say scout where you'll be hunting and see where the deer are feeding and traveling and set up in those areas.
