Ok, so after the 9:30am break, I return to the building on campus I was cleaning. My supervisor was in another building. I walk into the building and there below a stairwell is a $10 bill! I thought "what the heck? That was definitely not there before..." I never thought once about keeping it really. I knocked on a guy's door and gave it to him. He said it wasn't his but he'd keep it until someone claimed it. Well I go and sit on a chair to put a cd in my portable player and a lady comes out of the bathroom and goes up the stairs. A minute later she comes down the stairs and is looking around. I say "Did you lose some money because I just found a $10 bill lying there and gave it to a guy in that office. I must have made her day, lol, she was all happy and pleased with my honesty and I could here her telling the guy how impressed she was and she thanked me again. It is amazing how something so small like that can give you such a great feeling. I was glad she came looking because I was hoping whoever had lost it would find it. She even offerec me half and I said "No, that's ok!" I should have told her that is why I go to this college, because it is a Christian college. LOL Anyway thought I'd share my little Christmas break job tid-bit

Re: Ethics, Morals, Realtree, and America Welcome! Sounds like you had some philosophy courses, lol. We all have our own opinions and what our family/ cultures teach us help us define our opinions. We are all as different as apples and oranges but we are all children of God.

Ok guys, I have 2 computer hunting games and I would like to know, is it possible for games to be outdated? My laptop has windows XP 2000 professional and the home computer has windows XP 2000. Both computer games are for Windows 95/98 and last night the wouldn't play right on our computers so I think that the games are too old for our computers, is this possible? By the way I am going to sell these games in the classifieds so any of those who are interested keep an eye out. The games are in great shape, haven't played them alot, and they still have theb oxes and everything.

Re: For all NYS hunters My family hunts for meat, not the rack so if the DEC in the future did put out antler restrictions, it would give those of us who shoto deer strictly to fill the freezer and feed ourselves through the winter a more difficult chance to do so, especially if like in my WMU where they gave out only 1 DMP instead of the 2 before. Not that antler restrictions is bad thing but I agree with Doc.

Re: What Nice Weather We\'re Having... Nice weather? LOL Yesterday was sunny and about 30. I got up this morning, it was 30 F, was on the computer for about half hour/45 minutes, come back upstairs and the temp dropped to 10 F in about an hour. Makes for good hunting but the wind chill is gonna be nasty tonight (-15-20 below)

Re: Already saw a half rack buck. Check in bedding areas, heavily traveled trails, and food sources. Where I live in NY, the deer liked to bed under hemlock or pines and I have had success in fields also.

Yes, it is so wonderful not to have homework to worry about for 3 weeks, just working custodial. Anyway as yesterday was the only decent day we were gonna have for a while, mom wanted to go up to Buffalo. So we make the 1 and half hour trip up there. First we stop at the oold people's home if that is what you call it to see our mom's great aunt, she is 97. Mom had a bunch of stuff for her for Christmas and some homemade cookiesand stuff. Anut Betty doesn't rememer well at this age but I guess compared to last time mom visited her, she was doing well this time, recognized us. After that we went to this big, gourmet food/cooking supply place where mom indulged on herself, lol! She got a new, really expensive knife, of which my sister and I said we'd pay half of it for Christmas. She also got some good cheese and stuff. After that I got dropped off at Gander Moutain, man was it busy! I got myself a new knife(never can have too many, right? lol) It is a Buck Whitaker, realy nice with a partly serrated blade. Will work well for hunting and whatever else. I like Buck because not only are they lifetime guranteed but they also are a Christian business. While I was there, my sister and mom went to this bakery where they make these mini-eclairs and mini-danish that are really good. Mom is saving the danish for Christmas. Then we ate dinner and I got to drive home. Oh I hate driving in big cities, lol! So that was my day and today I'm going out this evening to bow hunt one last time, though it is gonna be really cold. Hope you all are having a good weekend!

Re: Truck hit!! I just saved money on my car insurance by switching to Geico.....lmbo! Sorry, I just had to. That sucks big time SS though I'm glad no one was hurt. When a U-haul smashed into our car while we were parked at Buger King, we called the polica, seeign that our car was damaged and the guy driving had not even paid attention or looked when he pulled out beside us, turning too soon and wham! Can't blame ya for being mad. I see more and more people recklessly driving these days and caring more about themselves than the other peopel out there.

Re: ? To all NY hunters Well even though I saw a nice flock of turkeys today, the turkeys are not what they use to be where I hunt. The last day of shotgun season I did see 3 does come out into a field but I had a buck tag. We also had a pheasant in our woods the other day but I wasn't here to shoot it, and having a pheasant in ours woods is a first. I've seen a few grouse and found a dead pheasant earlier in the year that I think either a fox or goosehunters got. Either way I am going to be doing some fox/coyote hunting because not only am I sure they are cutting down the turkey population(I've seen turkey remains by several dens) but there are some foxes that have taken I think a total of 7 or 8 chickens since last spring. Something surely is out of balance........

I had my final, final exam at 8am this morning. I think I did ok, not going to get myself hyped up over it then be disappointed after the last time. The prof even gave us candy canes, lol So for 3 weeks I have no homework or classes, just working custodial at my college! Oh well, I am hoping to get out bow hunting at least one last time this weekend. I also saw a huge flock of turkeys outi n a snow covered corn field coming home today, I was so mad, lol, since spring turkey season sucked. Too bad they aren't on thel and I hunt. Well i hope the rest of you made it through your finals. And I hope every single person on here has a safe and great holiday week coming up!
-
So do you people who have already gone through college and have a career ever miss finals week in college? This is finals week for me right now, ugh. I hate trying to decide what to study first, lol. What has me really mad is I got a D+ on a final that I thought I had gotten like a B-/B on. I was so disappointed though at least I didn't fail, quite. The good think is all the projects and papers in that class I got one or 2 B+'s and the rest all A's and an A+ so I am hoping those will bring my score up. I think they count for more than the exams anyway. Tomorrow I have 2 exams, then 1 on Friday and another 1 that was being sent by email that is due to the prof by Friday but she hasn't sent it so I'm suspecting and hoping it is like last year where she surprised the few of us with perfect attendance with NO FINAL! Anyway finals week is a pain, lol, but I'm sure most of you know that already! LOL,I'm trying to keep a good mood

Re: Sadness... Well I just got back from hunting and found my parakeet, Blue, dead in his cage. Mom said he died like 5 minutes after I left. I do know that when I was getting ready to go out and checked him, he gave a little twirp and the word goodbye ran through my mind, I'm serious. Anyway this has been a sad day, and no buck but we have a late archery season for a couple days so I might get out.
-
Re: Will miss you guys... LMBO @ you all! I can see you all posting on here, having a contest to see who dies first, lol. "Buckee...you dead yet?" "Nope, you Tominator?" "Tominator.... Tominator??" "Darn he wins." lol

Re: Sadness... I know, I know. I will have another rabbit and parakeet, maybe not right way but soon.

Re: *Realtree 2004 Christmas Exchange Assignments* Aaww thanks WWh. You're an awesome "internet hunting buddy" also.

Well guys, my sister came in from the barn this morning with one of my rabbits, a mini-rex which was my first mini-rex. Basically she was dying and I held her for about the last 2 minutes she was alive....makes me teary just thinking about it. And now my parakeet, Blue, I think is dying also. He has been having breathing issues for a month or more now and this morning he was all puffed up and breathing hard then he was having trouble staying on the perch and fell off. I held him but he likes being in his cage more then being held and he is still alive right now, sitting by his mirror. I wish God would take him as I hate to see him keep struggling but he is a tough little bird. I'm not sure if Blue had a stroke or what. Dogdoc or others who have animal medical backrounds, anyone know anything about these symptoms? Anyway this is a bummy day to say the least with my rabbit, Clover dead, and my parakeet, Blue, seemingly on the edge of dying. Things could be worse but when a pet dies that you love, you have to wonder to yourself, why do I bother having more pets because I hate it when they die.... No, this is not keeping my from hunting this last day of shotgun, I'm going out about 1/1:30. Love your pets people and give them the best.

Re: Last 2 days of season, what should I do? Thanks guys:-) I will be hunting from our woodsi n them orning as I am going shopping with my mom but I will be back in the early afetrnoon to go out. I am thinking of either trying to track one down in the snow but how would I go about that? How do I know if I'm even tracking a buck? My other option besides tracking is going and sitting on this little hill in the woods, kind of deeper in the woods near a corn field and hope to catch one coming out of a thick brushy swamp.
