  8. Just read in my NY Outdoor news they are proposing an Oct. 1 archery opener in the southern zone for next year, 2012...how awesome would that be! they are also thinking about a youth deer hunt and something about maybe an early muzzeloader. I wonder if archery would run right up to gun season like usual or if they would start it then end it earlier...Rut doesn't kick in here till end of October.

  10. Congrats on the new bow! Can't wait for my Elite to draw blood this fall...
  11. Warm temps. slow the deer movement. That's about the size of deer I get here, lol! I have yet to get a buck on my trail cam but I only have it set right now in our 14 acres.
  12. Congrats! I'd like to try and go to watch...think it'd be awesome!
  13. OUCH! Wow...hope you heal ok...might not be 100% but one of the concerns is infection... I actually was expecting your photo to be worse..I thought you'd completely chopped off your finger!
  14. LOL! Good luck Chris...don't come home empty handed!
  15. I never have for the fear of loosing one. While working at camp next to the state land, I had one out. this year I may put on out on the state land right by camp...through camp I have easy access to the middle of the state land where few people go. Would love to get a bear:)
  16. Wondering how many others who have a G5 meta peep notice the glare on it? I could not take it any longer, went to the shop and had them put a new peep on, they put on a RAD 38 peep. Black and no glare, like it alot better than the G5! And the guy at the bow shop didn't even charge me:clap: (thanks Mike at S & S Taxidermy/ProShop).
  17. Well my vacation time this summer aka on my days off will probably be spent over at camp volunteering help with whatever. My full time 'big girl' job means I can't be a paid camp staffer but I was told my help would be appreciated and I got a volunteer form so days off I'll go over to help. In January I'll acquire officially 2 weeks vacation time...can't wait, lol!
  18. Team 4 took top honors for 2011, congratulations! Followed by Team 2 for 2nd place and Team 3 for 3rd place! Congratulations though to everyone, great job and thanks for participating! I'm arranging a small prize for the top 3 teams (I am not including myself). I will need your addresses, so PM them to me when you have the chance, thank you! And feel free to post any suggestions for the 2012 contest:)
  19. Yeah saw that one...I'd have to take off the serving alreaddy above and below my peep since it's tied in at top and bottom though, just need to run a couple strands around the middle of the peep.
  20. I have a G5 peep pn my bow, it was served in above and below, but not around it in the groove. I want to tie in around the groove because it did move slightly, how many wraps and what knot should I use to secure? A pic would be helpful but I'd just like to know what know will work best, etc...Figure I can do this myself, simple enough:D
  21. I have a rechargable battery...haven't had any issues with it...that I know of.
