Then flushed around 4-6 grouse...could never get any good shots...had a couple and missed, those things are so tricky:yes: Ended the day jumping a rabbit out of an old tractor tire pile and needless to say he's in the fridge waiting to get cooked:yes: Hope to get back out today to a new spot and see what I can scare up.

    A relief....

Our one cat finally passed away last night. We've had him for about 15 years, since he was a kitten, he came with us when we moved. Last year he acted like he'd had some type of stroke...He recovered but mentally wasn't quite all there, lol. Last few months he's had to eat canned food then the last couple weeks he just kept declining, only eating liquids. This last week he just went downhill fast, never in any pain, just weak and laying around. We kept him by a heat vent, nice and comfy and each morning, we got up expecting him to have passed but he wouldn't! That cat had a strong heart or something! He's was kind of restless last night actually. We decided if he was still alive in the AM, we'd call the vet. Event hough he didn't look to be suffering, he had literally lost all his weight in a week. Mom woke up around 2am and checked on him and he'd finally gone. Sad but a relief.:bummed: RIP Mittens
  14. That is a quick turn around but it looks like the guy took a few short cuts in the process - ears were the most noticeable thing to me Either way congrats on a fantastic buck! Gotta love all those points!
  15. Great deer everyone! This was the first year since starting bow hunting I did not take a deer with bow.....Can't wait to get back at it next fall, lol

  17. Wondering who's planning on or thinking about a new bow for 2011? I'veh ad my Hoyt for 5 years...thinking it's time to upgrade, weight is maxed out, bow actually feels small to me now, lol. Anyone got your eyes on anything specific? I'll be looking at Hoyt and Mathews/Mission most likely but there's a Bowtech dealer nearby as well.
  18. I must have missed it,lol, but congrats to you two! I know the little guy will have 2 great parents!
  19. Beauties Chris! Hope to get out this weekend on some state land...got a thaw so hope to find some pheasant...
