  10. Sorry Mass...no exceptions...Welcome to RT though!
  11. Well I did react quickly. Ran down to start closing patient doors and hallway doors..that's our protocol. Rest of my staff did what else needed to be done. I have to stay on the floor to make sure patients are ok and to evacuate if need be. I try to stay calm and cool, start panicking and then patients pick up on that. It all went smoothly, just mentally we thought it was a drill, there had been talk of having one...
  12. Very neat, thanks for sharing
  13. :toot: Great metaphor there.
  14. Please read and abide by the rules. Thank you. 1). There will be a thread for each team. This is where you can chat and update each other on your finds. Please be respectful of each other and the other teams. Feel free to come up with names:) 2). Sheds found from December 2011 and on will count in the 2012 contest. 3). You must enter a photo of your shed(s) found, under the Photo Entry Thread. If you find multiple sheds on one trip, you can take a "group shot" and enter that photo rather than several photos for one day's find. 4). Be sure to include YOUR NAME and TEAM NAME/NUMBER under your entry and DATES when you found your sheds if the photo is not dated. 5). SINGLE shed is worth 1 point. MATCHED SETS are worth 3 points. 6). The contest will end May 31, 2012. 7). Skulls do not count. 8).Any questions, PM me or post under this thread. Rules are subject to updating. 9). I have not decided if there will be any prizes or not but the main thing is this is for fun and comraderie!
  15. Last day/night to sign up for the 2011 shed contest. Will try to draw teams tomorrow! Planning to have a small prize this year!
  16. That deer is awesome...wouldn't have even second guessed....n fact wouldn't have even thought, would have just drawn and settled my pin right behind his shoulder....
  17. Some people don't like change, some do. The only constant thing about change is change. The one thing forums, email, texting etc, is that someone can type something to mean one thing and it can be interpreted completely different. There seems to be the tendency to just type first, think later. This is still my favorite forum. Everyone has problems....we are no better than any other dysfunctional family, but we can try LOL:-p
  18. I wish the excitement that seems to occur at work when I'm there would tone down a little, lol I was actually talking to my manager, we were figuring out an IV and I thought I smelled gas/propane, well as soon as I did, the fire alarm went off. At first I thought coincidental fire drill. Well not when it kept going off and then a burning smell drifted onto the floor and fire trucks showed up! We did our protocol for fires - aka shut patient doors, etc. Our sceretary was actually one of maybe 3 people from the whole hospital who ran down with a fire extinguisher. It was as actually some mop heads caught fire in the dryer in the laundry room. It probably took about 45 minutes before the all clear was given. Thank goodness it wasn't worse to where we would have needed to evacuate patients. If you ever think about complaining about fire drills at your work, think again, they happen for a reason!
  19. No kidding, I got a grouse yesterday, it was a blessing from above. Went out about 2pm, had my snowshoes on. Went over to this block of woods where I'd flushed a bunch of grouse a couple weeks ago. Well right off the bat flush 3 outof some hemlocks....no shot. Made my way down towards where I saw them. Found some tracks, well one flushed out of a hemlock and went back up where I'd originally started. So I circled and made my way back up, well flushed 2 out of a hemlock, stupid branches, I couldn't get a shot. Keep heading back up and I stop and look up and I see it in the tree above me ready to fly. Got so excited that I didn't have my gun shouldered well and shot, missed the bird, hit my cheek. Watched the bird fly across a field to a new woodlot. Well I go back to the bottom, across the field and work my way back up the new woodlot. Well at that point I'm getting tired, it's getting late. Before I make the long trek to the car, I stop to take a break on this stump...just sat right down. Next thing I know I hear a flutter and there's a grouse in the tree right above me!:ninja: First shot missed, 2nd shot nocked it right to the ground! Thank you Lord! This is only my 3rd grouse in all my years hunting. I'll get some pics posted later.
  20. Sure will do the job. I would recommend shooting your load and see how it performs. I shoot a 20ga Mossberg out to 30-35 yards max patterning. but most of the time the turkeys are in closer...
