  1. I use my IC for all my duck hunting over decoys. When field hunting geese i go with the modified unless they are decoying really good then i'll put the IC back in.
  2. nope--haven't used it. You can buy it by the gallon though. Found at lawn supply stores where professional lawn people get their stuff.
  3. How long does what take to grow? Rye grain is going to be your best bet where you are located. It has the best winter tolerance of any cereal grain. todd

    welcome to the forum!!!! todd
  5. Eagle beans are the only warm season plantings I do anymore. Absolutely awesome.
  6. wheat and rye. I noticed you typed ryegrass. while ryegrass can be palatable early I have found it gets very little browsing after it is a month old. Rye grain is a different story though. It stays very palatable all winter. It also has a longer growing period than wheat as it is a little more winter tolerant than wheat.
  7. welcome to the forum. Right now I'd go with a blend of cereal grains (wheat, ryegrain, and oats) and some austrian winter peas. Probably too late to get a good crop of brassicas in Maine. good luck todd
  8. TG---very nice. that does look like a deer paradise.
  9. I did read that diesel works great--hogs love it and coons don't. I never tried it though. On my 80 acres I killed or trapped over 50 hogs in a 3 year period. Then one day they just all disappeared. Ate a lot of hog meat during those 3 years. glad they are gone though.
  10. your as bad as a woman:hammer2: I blow a Zink Money Maker short reed goose call. Love it--only goose call on my lanyard. todd
  11. good deal. amazing how many times i've had barium fix the problem.
  12. agree. I always made my own bait. get a five gallon bucket and fill it 3/4 with corn, couple bottles of cheap beer, and fill it up to the top of the corn with water. Put the lid on and sit it out in the sun. Everyday take off the lid and stir. do this for about 5 days and you'll have some good fermented corn. Hogs will smell it from long ways. Perfect bait.
  13. congrats on the 10 years and if you ever need "the surgery" I'll be happy to help you out:gun2:
  14. keep me updated. good luck!!! he just needs another DHLPP. Vet will know!
  15. I've always been a HUGE Hank Parker fan. He was my favorite fisherman on the BASS circuit. I always enjoyed his fishing show. I was excited to see him start a hunting show but after a few times watching it I decided it was just a big advertisement of C-Mere deer. It's like watching an infomercial. Never tried to stuff and don't plan on trying (might if it was given to me for free though)
  16. Since she has probably only had one vaccination at the shelter I would be suspecting parvo. Getting just one vaccination without a follow up booster 3 to 4 weeks doesn't provide full protection. Another thought could be an obstruction. Young dogs like to chew and eat anything. If they swallow something to large to pass it can get caught in the stomach or small intestines. Surgery is required to remove the obstruction. Pup could have also eaten something (bad food, plant) that has irritated the lining of the stomach and small intestines. This can also cause vomiting like this. If you come home today and still vomiting then you need to get into the vet ASAP. good luck todd
  17. yep--glyphosate (active ingredient in Round Up--there are cheaper generics) is a great herbicide to spray prior to planting a food plot. Spray--give it a week then disc under and plant. You'll be good to go. todd
  18. radishes are the new rage for brassicas. If you want the best ones then look up the Ground Hog Radishes. Available online at Welter Seeds.
  19. I have always been happy with the Leaf River brand and their customer service is awesome.
  20. I use the fletch-tite super glue. I'm not patient enough for the slow drying one.
  21. usually the cheapest 7 1/2 I can get at Academy
  22. yep---waterfowl hunting does get high. I'm pretty much good. I usually buy a lot of stuff at the end of the season when it is cheaper
