  2. thanks to everyone. you guys/gals are the best. todd
  3. I wouldn't plant any grass in the plot. There are several clover/chicory blends out there that would work great for you. Martin has a good blend. If you want to purchase locally then I would get a clover/chicory blend from Evolved Habitats.
  4. Awesome buddy. Here's to a great fishing season!!
  5. Have fun. Take a roll of rolaids with ya
  6. I'd also us glyphosate as a total herbicide. I've planted as soon as two days after spraying but usually wait a week.
  7. I really don't think you'll see any significant increase in antler growth with pourable mineral supplements. Where you'll see the most improvement is by providing a high quality food plot that provides high quality proteins and minerals.

  15. to start my spring plots. I'm still a good month away but always get a little itchy about this time of year to get started on my plots. I've already picked out a new plot this year that I need to start prepping. It's going to be about one acre or so and I haven't decided completely what to plant yet. I'm thinking about starting out with some Eagle Beans then maybe starting a perennial plot of Hamman Farms this fall. My very first perennial plot that I started in Hamman Farms around 5 years ago has finally given into weeds. There is still a lot of clover that comes up but I bet 70% of the plot has been invaded with fescue and bermuda. I'm going to start over with this plot. I had such good success with the Eagle beans last year I'm going to plant them again in my main plot. This is a two acre plot. I have found the beans are pretty much a year round plot. During the spring and summer they eat the forage heavily and then during the winter they really key in on the seed pods. So is anyone going to try anything new this year or change anything up. good luck this spring with your plotting! todd
