I have not bought a choke tube in yeeeears. Now I find myself buying one for my daughters 20 gauge Mossberg 500. I want to get a tube with magna-porting to reduce her recoil. What is new? What are you having success with?

Hey everyone, thanks for the great advice. We tried them all but found that the Mossberg Bantam was the best fit for her. She had some great success last fall.

Since I cannot contact you with PM's under this new system I figured I would do it this way. Is this your 20 gauge Mossberg Bantam in this picture? If yes what barrel or choke are you using? Also what slugs are you having success with? My Abigail will be using her Bantam for deer for the first time this fall and I would appreciate any advice you may have so we don't have to buy out the whole store to find a good combination.

A town just 10 minutes east of where I work is now officially the snowiest place in America. No other town in the entire USA received more snow than they did. It's been that kind of winter here. Take all that snow and the cold Tim mentioned and we are really beat up. So glad to see a thaw starting.

We haven't had a poll in a while so I figured I would seek your opinions on something I am debating with others. Here in New York we offer youth hunt weekends where kids (ages 12-15) can get out before the adults do for regular season. We offer youth weekends for deer, turkey, pheasant and waterfowl. During these hunts, adults with hunting licenses but NO guns themselves mentor young hunters. So here is my poll question for all of you. Feel free to comment. Should the mentor on a youth waterfowl hunt (who cannot carry a gun into the field) be required to purchase a $25 duck stamp and register with the Feds to get a HIP number?
