The wife, kids and I will be staying home for New Years eve. I do not like going out that night. It is amateur night for drinkers. Due to my wife and I having some sort of flu bug last week, we canceled Christmas eve dinner with my parents, so we didn't get them sick. We will be having our Christmas eve on New Years day. I sure as heck do. Where do you do your research? Case makes some nice knives and if that is what you like...go with it. I find the gut hook handy. Opens them up like a zipper.

Agreed. I like and use Cold Steel Knives. I am fond of the Carbon V component(s) used to make those knives. They are affordable and very quality made.

Hey Alan.... I am a fan of LaCrosse boots. I wear the Alpha Burly Lite and have never been cold. They are easy on and easy off. A Knee high rubber boot with 1000grams of thinsulate. All I wear outside of turkey hunting. You might want to go to a store to try on the boots. There is such a selection out there, it might be hard to pick boots out a catalog. Rubber boota re best for scent concealment when walking.
