  1. 216 this week. Dropped three pounds. Hopefully March first I will hit my goal of 210 and then be seeing 200 sometime shortly after. My folks are flying out to visit April sometime and I want to be 200 or less by then. The last they saw me I was in the 240s so it would be awesome to be 40lbs lighter for them. I also needed some inspiration this weekend so I went to My Froyo. A frozen yogurt place and it was like a fat person convention! I walked out feeling good and wanting to keep on the diet. It was good motivation of what I dont want to be like. You guys should try it.
  2. Yeah, I plan to find as much land as possible. Within the 3 closest counties around me, they say there is roughly 220,000 acres of land to hunt, either feel free to hunt land or by permission only. Permission only land is somewhat easy to get rights to hunt so I am not worried about it. I plan to get out every weekend walking and hiking for a couple of reason. One, to find land that I can hunt here, two to lose some weight and get excercise and three, to build up my rolling hill and mountain hiking endurance for a possbily out of state hunt this year. All in all, it looks promising with the land I have already found. The hardest decision to make will be if I want to archery or gun hunt, since in this state, you can only do one or the other.

    Polar plunge!

This is the exact reason I posted it. I am just like everyone else and think that it will never happen to me. I know my surroundings, I know I am smarter than stupid, I'm cautious, nothing will ever happen to me....until it does. Glad you survuved your experience, it's an eye opener.

    Polar plunge!

I know the feeling! Glad you're safe and made it out. Here was my story, somewhat close to yours... http://www.realtree.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103898
  5. Congrats! And great pics guys!
  6. Now that I have been out here just shy of 2 years, I am finally starting to get a feel for the land and figure out places that I can hunt and fish. This past season I saw a sign that said "feel free to hunt" and marked it down on the GPS. Well, Saturday I decided to get out of the house and walk around, look for deer, get some excercise and spend time in God's country. Some poeple have no idea what central Washington looks like, so, after these pics you will have a better understanding. This place is 15 miles from the house and free for me to hunt whenever I would like. The only problem is, its free for everyone else in the world as well, but maybe, no one knows about it or hunts it. I did manage to find a few deer and all were still carrying antlers. Do Mule deer hold their antlers longer than whitetails? Anyhow, heres a few pics of the terrain that I hunt, hike and take vacations. And, Yes, I'm well aware that I have more grey hair than all you people, and i'm only 26. Also, ignore that ugly dude in some of the pics, he was blocking the scenery!
  7. PacNW. I had no idea the amount of things there are out here. It's insane and something totally different than I have ever seen anywhere else in the country. It's simply amazing.

  10. Finally!! Dropped to 219.2lbs this morning. I have a pretty action packed weekedn planned so I am hoping I will be at 216 Monday morning and will achieve my goal of 5 pounds this week. Man, what a relief to break that 220 mark. I am in numbers that I have not seen in 10+ years.

    So gentleman...

Some bread, mayo, turkey, cheese and a paper plate.
  12. I'm stuck!!!! 220 will not break for me so far this week! I really wanted 215 by Monday, but i'm not sure that is going to happen. I have been doing awesome on my daily intake and excercise, so I'm not sure whats going on. But I need to break through into the teens!
  13. People can make really good fake IDs with expired licenses that other folks give them. Its saving their tail as well as the companys to not even consider letting someone with an expired ID or license to purchase anything that needs age approval. Try going and buying beer with an expired ID that follows the law about ID purchases. You wont be able to purchase.

    First Date Ideas?

If you want to have a really good night with her, take her to a pottery store where they let you throw your own clay. Get on the wheel, make some bowls, have a little clay fight and flirt. I took pottery in college and chicks dig pottery. Even outdoorsy women, they will melt if you take them to one of these places on a date, followed my a picnic meal sitting on the hood of your truck. Even in cold weather this is good, because the hood will be pretty warm. Bring a blanket for afterwards when you recline on the windshield to watch the stars and talk about all her hobbies. Wait until the second or third date to talk about you.
  18. Hope you have a good day brother!
